Meet Jason And Missy Improta

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason And Missy Improta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason and Missy, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
Answer: We believe the most important thing we’ve done as parents is to lead by example—showing our daughter what it means to work hard, never give up, and face challenges head-on. We’ve made it a priority to embrace obstacles and use failures as opportunities to grow, both individually and as a family. More than anything, we’ve tried to demonstrate the importance of being good people—treating others with kindness, respect, and integrity. Through our actions, we hope we’ve instilled in her not just a strong work ethic and resilience, but also a deep sense of compassion and character.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is built on one core belief: real estate is all about relationships. We pride ourselves on the level of care we provide to every client, and we’re incredibly proud that the majority of our business comes from repeat and referral clients. That tells us we’re doing something right—not just helping people buy or sell homes, but truly supporting them through one of the most important moments in their lives.
What sets us apart is our commitment to really listening, understanding, and empathizing with our clients’ needs. Every client is different, and we believe adaptability, perseverance, and problem-solving are essential to providing the kind of personalized service people deserve. At the heart of it all, we genuinely care. That’s not just a business strategy—it’s who we are.
Getting to where we are today hasn’t always been easy. Like any business, we’ve faced challenges along the way, from navigating market shifts to balancing personal and professional demands. But through it all, our dedication to our clients has kept us going. We’ve learned that success doesn’t come from shortcuts—it comes from showing up every day, doing the right thing, and treating people with respect.
What we want the world to know about our story is simple: we’re here for the long run. We’re not just in real estate—we’re in the relationship business. And we’re so grateful to get to do what we love while helping others achieve their dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Each local area offers something different, so we’d plan a mix of things to do in each one.
In Calabasas, we’d start with a casual breakfast or brunch, walk around Old Town or The Commons, and maybe hike or visit a local park. Evenings would be spent grabbing dinner and hanging out at local spots—nothing too busy, just relaxed and easy.
In Malibu, we’d spend the day by the beach—swimming, walking the cliffs, or just relaxing. We’d check out a few small shops, stop for lunch or smoothies, and drive the coast. Dinner would be by the water with a good view, and we’d try to catch the sunset every night we’re there.
In Los Angeles, we’d plan a few full days. One day for museums or sightseeing, another for shopping and food, and maybe a night out somewhere fun. There’s always something happening, whether it’s a concert, a new restaurant, or just walking around interesting neighborhoods.
In between, we’d leave time to explore local trails, visit small hidden spots, or just chill. Some days would be slower—coffee runs, good food, and downtime. Others would be more active depending on how we feel.
By the end of the week, we’d have a little of everything—beach, city, nature, food, and fun.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We both want to dedicate our shoutout to our fathers, who have been incredible role models and a huge influence on the people we are today—personally and professionally.
Missy’s dad instilled in her a strong sense of personal and professional ethics. He taught her the value of hard work, taking pride in everything she does, and always treating people fairly. As a real estate investor, he also helped spark her passion for real estate and showed her firsthand the long-term value it can create.
Jason’s dad taught him many of the same core values. As a prominent surgeon, he led by example—demonstrating what it means to be deeply committed to your craft and to always put others first. His dedication to taking the absolute best care of his patients has left a lasting impression on how Jason approaches his work and relationships.
Their guidance, love, and example have been a foundation for everything we’ve built—and we’re incredibly grateful.
