We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Bowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, what matters most to you?

The values that matter most to me are authenticity and the art of genuine human connection.

My career has taught me that the most memorable and impactful content stems from a place of sincerity. It’s about more than just telling a story—it’s about telling stories that matter. This belief has guided me to not only pursue excellence in the technical aspects of production but also in the way I lead teams. I strive to foster environments where everyone can contribute their best ideas and where their contributions are valued, enhancing our collective ability to create magic that audiences can feel and relate to.

This approach has not only shaped my career but also defined it. I believe that when we are authentic, and when we connect genuinely with our audiences and colleagues, we do our best work. And in an industry that’s constantly evolving, staying true to these values helps ensure that whatever we create not only leaves a lasting impression but also a meaningful impact.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

In reflecting on my career, what sets me apart is my dual capability in both the realms of production management and creative direction, which has allowed me to uniquely bridge the gap between production and creative agency worlds. This not only benefits every stakeholder involved but also enhances the quality and impact of the content I produce.

My career has taken me all over the world, providing me with a variety of experiences that set me apart from others. This global experience has not only enriched my personal growth but has also deeply informed my professional approach, enabling me to bring a unique perspective to every project. Whether working in different cultural contexts or navigating various industry landscapes, my global experience has been crucial in shaping my ability to manage projects.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that I am not just a creator or a leader; I am a facilitator of change and innovation in the production landscape. My career is dedicated to not only achieving operational and creative excellence but also to pushing boundaries and setting new benchmarks for what is possible in media production. Central to my mission is the belief that being a good person and fostering authentic, real connections are crucial in helping others succeed. These values are integral to my brand, as I strive to create environments that promote growth and inspire everyone involved to achieve their best. My journey underscores the power of innovation and the need for a deep understanding of both creative and production processes to create content that is not only effective but impactful. Through my work, I aim to demonstrate how integrity and genuine collaboration can drive success not just for me, but for the entire team involved.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I am the worst at playing tour guide, but I have a great list of places to eat and play!

Bacari for brunch or dinner is a must! They have four locations but I frequent the West 3rd and Silverlake locations.

El Compadre is a great Mexican spot off Sunset that have fiery margaritas. They literally light them on fire.

Mirate is also a great Mexican restaurant that offers a beautiful setting to dine in. Brunch or dinner, you won’t be disappointed.

Australian-style cafe Great White in West Hollywood is a favorite. They also have locations in Venice and Larchmont.

Osteria La Buca is my go to date night place with my husband or friends. The food is delicious and the ambiance is on point.

Superba Food + Bread has an amazing outdoor patio that is great during the summer. And yes… their bread is pretty good. Great menu with tasty cocktails and plenty of food options.

Pace on Laurel is another great date night spot.

If you are looking for a night out on the town, West Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd between La Cienega and Robertson will get you in all the right kinds of trouble. You have to do that at least once.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

Absolutely, I’d love to take a moment to dedicate a shoutout to what I affectionately call ‘The Gaggle’—a close-knit chosen family who have been instrumental in every step of my journey. Each person in this group brings something unique to the table, whether it’s unwavering support, creative inspiration, or simply the love and laughter that fuel my daily motivation.

For me, inspiration is intricately linked to experiences, and it’s the adventures we share that truly mold who I become, both personally and professionally. These experiences, whether big or small, have not only shaped my approach to storytelling but also reinforced the value of community and connection in everything I do.

So, this shoutout is for them—the people who celebrate with me in times of success and stand by me through challenges. Their influence is woven into the fabric of my career, and I am immensely grateful for their impact on my life. They deserve more than a little credit; they are a major part of my story and success.
