Hi Jason, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Some of the habits that helped me succeed were

1. Setting clear goals that are specific and measurable to help me stay focused and motivated.

2.Consistent effort. I always tried to stay busy and give meaningful effort when i take on a task.

3.Continuous learning. Staying curious and always seeking new information, never act like i knew it all

4.Creating meaningful relationships get to know people and what they are interested in. Seek advise and look for mentors

5.Take care of your mind and Body. Prioritize self-care. Manage stress and have hobby’s outside of work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Re Recording Mixer in the Motion picture film and television industry. Responsible for blending and adjusting various audio elements such as dialogue, music, and sound effects to create the final mix for a project. We work in a specialized studio environment using advanced equipment and software to achieve the desired sound balance and quality according to the creative vision of the project. Essentially, we take all the different audio tracks and make sure they sound cohesive and immersive for the audience.

Some recent project include Netflix Narco Mexico, STARZ Power book Rasing Kanan, Ghost & Force. Hulu The dropout, Hulu The other black girl.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Fun trips: take Amtrak train to San Diego for 2 days, or drive to Palm Springs/Joshua tree for a fun adventure

Hiking/outdoor walking: Baldwin hills scenic overlook trail, kenneth hahn park, Griffith park Hike

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First off i would say my mother Toi Savage and farther Julian Coleman jr for allowing me to move to California and chase a dream they knew nothing about and always supporting me. Tom Forrester and Dana Thompson for introducing me to the indurstry and letting me sleep on the floor in the back room while i got a job,Bill Kinsley for always letting me come sit in and learn when I was first starting out , Barry weir jr for taking me under his wing and showing me everything when we worked together, Bryan Parker for teaching me how to edit dialogue and foley, Vincent woof dog Guisetti being a role model and mentor, Geordy Sincavage for giving me a job opportunity and showing me his tricks ,Rob car and frank Morrone allowing me to mix tech for them and being mentors/ friends, Pete Elia for taking a chance on me to be his mix partner and mentoring me along the way, Kevin Roache for teaching me how to be a SFX mixer, Spencer Lunde for being a good friend,creator, and supporter ,Jared Fellows everyday at work having my back and showing me new things, Lydia Eckels and Nacho Cheese for loving and supporting me.
