Meet Javon Carey | Actor, Entrepreneur, Producer, Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Javon Carey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Javon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
One day, it just clicked for me, everything I used to do as a hobby became something I truly loved. As my audience grew, social media transformed from just a platform into a source of revenue, allowing me to promote not only myself but others too. I saw actors, creators, writers, producers, and especially small businesses and entrepreneurs who needed a boost to get noticed. Building a network to help people gain visibility has always been a goal of mine, and now it’s a way for both others and myself to thrive in this industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art lies in creating content that resonates on a personal level, blending humor, drama, and real-life experiences in a way that feels relatable yet unique. What sets us apart is our commitment to authenticity, each piece of content isn’t just for entertainment; it’s meant to connect, inspire, and bring people together. We’re most proud of the community we’ve built and the positive impact our content has on our audience.
The journey to get here has been anything but easy. Like many in this industry, we’ve faced challenges, balancing creative passion with financial sustainability, navigating an ever changing social media landscape, and staying motivated in a competitive field. Overcoming these hurdles required resilience, adaptability, and a relentless belief in our mission. We’ve learned that staying true to one’s voice, no matter the pressures to conform, is crucial. Each challenge taught us to push boundaries and trust the process.
CareyOn Network is more than just a brand, it’s a platform built to uplift and amplify voices, especially those often overlooked. We want the world to know that our story is one of dedication, vision, and a genuine desire to create space for meaningful stories. We’re here not just to entertain but to build a network that reflects real lives and real stories, all while supporting other creatives and entrepreneurs on their journeys.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, we’d be in for an epic week of exploring the best spots around! Here’s how I’d break it down:
Houston
Houston has so much flavor and culture. We’d start by diving into the food scene, maybe a hearty breakfast at The Breakfast Klub for some classic chicken and waffles, then hit Turkey Leg Hut for some unforgettable soul food. After that, we’d take a trip to the Museum District, specifically the Museum of Fine Arts and the Contemporary Arts Museum. The city has an eclectic mix of art and culture that you can’t miss. For nightlife, I’d take them to EaDo (East Downtown) where we’d hop between bars and end the night at a rooftop spot overlooking the skyline.
Los Angeles
If we’re on the West Coast, LA has its own unique vibe. We’d kick things off with brunch at Broken Egg, then head over to the Santa Monica Pier for some beach vibes and people watching. After soaking in the sun, a trip down Melrose Avenue would be perfect

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support system I’ve had along the way. First and foremost, I’d like to shout out my family for their unwavering encouragement and belief in my vision, even when the road seemed uncertain. My close friends, who have been there through every up and down, constantly remind me to stay grounded and push forward. I also owe a huge thank you to the mentors who’ve shared their wisdom and guidance, helping me refine my craft and navigate the complexities of the entertainment industry.
Additionally, I draw inspiration from creatives like Spike Lee and Ryan Coogler, whose work reminds me of the power of storytelling to connect, inspire, and drive change. Lastly, I’d like to give credit to my audience and supporters; their feedback, enthusiasm, and engagement motivate me daily to create content that resonates and makes an impact. CareyOn Network is a collective journey, and I’m grateful for everyone who has been a part of it.
