Meet Jay Fischer | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Fischer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor for me is patience there are times quitting is the only thing I think of but being patient and trusting the process of failure lead me to inevitable success

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art and music is me doing the best I can to express myself , it is my entire life.
I make my own beats and productions, record myself, make my cover arts design my own Merchandise book all my own events etc.
I’m a one man band it’s not easy at all in fact it’s exhausting
I’m excited about the future though because it seems I’m only learning more and getting better with the skills and techniques i acquire.
Im no where close to where I want to be I can’t consider myself a professional at all, But it has been a journey nothing has been easy about it but there has definitely been some fun had
I’ve learned to be patient and trust your instincts/intuition because if what you are doing is right for you and aligns with your destiny the universe will provide .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d get some breakfast burritos at lucky boy in Pasadena
Then get some new shoes to start the day feeling fresh
then head to the broad , lacma or Getty museum to see some art
Get inspired maybe sit and draw for a bit
Then go get some lunch somewhere chicken pesto sandwich might be hitting
6pm we could head to Venice and take some skateboards or bikes to the Santa Monica pier find a decent spot for dinner or sushi or something
Then find a bar with a pool table and get drunk and play pool.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom without her I wouldn’t have had the time to fail so many times and learn from mistakes. I’m still learning and she has been my biggest supporter through everything.

My friends and fans that continue to push me to keep going.

Also YouTube “how to” video and documentaries have been my most notable mentor til this point .
