We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Pezz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, how do you define success?
Inspiration. Societal pressures have become such a distraction. It becomes difficult to see our true gifts without fear. The goal is not monetary, it’s spiritual. I hope I become successful enough to inspire.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

I went through such a dark and difficult experience losing my wife to cancer. Not only having to witness losing my best friend but to not having anyone for my son to call mom. I had to really look beyond that and see something positive come from the situation.

It was clear I had to chase our dream of making clothes and make a brand in her name to honor her.

Ultimately Tracey Clothing is a deep reflection of Tracey and I.

I hope the world can enjoy and hopefully inspire some people.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Getting a little older and raising a child I’ve become a bit of a reverse vampire. So the day is my thing now. I’ve been living in Los Angeles most of my life.

In 94′ my mother an I planted the palm trees as you walk up the path in Runyon. So it holds a special meaning to me.  With that said, fair warning we will be

going hiking!
Other than that Cecconis Catch and Craig’s they show me a lot of love, I’d probably be there. Or an LA function party with Adib

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

After losing Tracey to cancer and trying to raise my son by myself. It really took a very special village to carry me through the other side. Without naming everyone, I hope they know who they are. I would like to mention the most important, Mrs Candy Iha. My sons God Mom. Even though we fight and still fight lol, god sent her. She is a very special woman. I love you.
