Meet Jaydn Meier | Realtor®

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaydn Meier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaydn, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Since I was little, I’ve been a go-getter, never afraid to chase after what I want. No dream feels too big to me. Life is short, and if you’re not doing what you love, what’s the point? Persistence has been one of my greatest habits—giving up simply isn’t an option.
I’ve also made it a habit not to compare myself to others. Growing up in the modeling industry, I had to overcome a lot of insecurity and quickly realized that comparison only leads to self-doubt. Instead, I trained myself to focus on my own journey. There’s enough success to go around, and I truly believe that when you’re genuinely happy for others, you attract positive energy into your own life.
Lastly, kindness, honesty, and hard work are at the core of everything I do. How you treat people matters more than anything. I want to be remembered not just for my success, but for the way I make people feel. When clients tell me I’ve gone above and beyond and changed their perception of realtors, it reminds me why I love what I do.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started my real estate career representing vacant land and new development projects in Malibu. Years ago, I did a photoshoot for an architecture firm, and when they found out I had gotten my real estate license, they not only hired me as their agent but also took me under their wing. They taught me everything about the planning, permitting, and building process in Malibu, insight that many realtors lack. I sold a very unique project of theirs, and since then, I’ve helped others sell their developments or guided buyers in finding the best lots to build on, which can be a tricky task without a deep understanding of the area.
Starting my career in new development gave me a niche and set me apart from other realtors. While I still love working on new development, I never wanted to limit myself to just one specialty. I’ve since expanded my expertise, selling homes across Los Angeles County and Northern California, working with a diverse range of properties.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in real estate is overcoming the negative perception some people have of realtors. That old-school, pushy salesman approach can be off-putting, and I’ve worked hard to break through those barriers and build genuine trust. My approach is different. I don’t believe in “selling” my clients on anything. I’m there to be an advisor, providing guidance and expertise. Any sales techniques? I save those for negotiations.
Another thing that sets me apart is my experience working on photoshoots. This has given me a strong understanding of lighting, composition, and presentation, which has been a huge asset in real estate. It helps me stage properties and focus on the details that others might overlook when preparing a home for photography. In this industry, presentation is everything, and I make sure my listings stand out.
At the end of the day, real estate isn’t just about transactions. It’s about relationships, trust, and delivering results. I take pride in going above and beyond for my clients, ensuring they feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a tough one! There are so many amazing spots throughout Los Angeles, but I’d definitely start on the Westside, where I spend most of my time. For brunch, I love Malibu Farm and The Butcher’s Daughter on Abbot Kinney Blvd. Malibu Farm sits right on the pier, offering incredible ocean views.
One of my favorite weekend activities is grabbing an almond milk lavender latte at Alfred Coffee before taking electric bikes down to Manhattan Beach. The coastal ride is always a fun and refreshing way to spend the day. No LA trip would be complete without a scenic hike or a relaxing afternoon at the beach.
For dinner, I’m all about Nobu in Malibu for a special night out, Ospi in Venice for great Italian, and Uovo in Marina del Rey for fresh pasta. Uovo is best around sunset when you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Marina. To end the night, I’d head to Planta in Marina del Rey for cocktails. The bar has a beautiful vibe, and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give credit to my mom and dad. Their unwavering support, love, and encouragement have shaped who I am today. They instilled in me the belief that work ethic and being a kind, genuine person are far more important than money or material possessions. They always reminded me that if I stay true to my values and focus on the right things, everything else will fall into place.
