We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayime Jean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jayime, why did you pursue a creative career?
Art has always chosen me, especially in times of healing, grief, or inspiration. Art allows me to share my moods and moments by expressing what’s hidden inside that’s screaming to get out, A painting, some writing, a song to sing, now even filming has found me and rescued me. Art offers an escape, a medium to channel into another world of expression, you can see, hear, feel, move to and through. As a young girl who struggled with confidence, lack of more than a child should lack in, I dreamt of being someone covered in colors, that people could heal from when they saw me, I saw and felt peoples auras as a young girl, I always wanted to help , heal, care, nurture, I believe art has always chosen me , now i choose art as the most intimate healing agent and hope to help others and inspire always.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an empath so I feel easily, a blessing and curse all in the same tune. I can feel pain in humans just by a glance, it’s as if I am granted a glimpse of what someone fears, or has been through, I actually feel it sometimes, and I secretly send positive energies when I feel the nudge. This happens in dreams for me most the time, I call them my dream downloads, since a child I got messages to share yet chose my dad to share most of them with in fear of not being understood, or being made fun of, now I channel the messages into art. Most of my art have a story behind the PC, if it’s a song I woke up hearing, a message needed to be shared, a dream that shook me and needed to be released, I create my hues , write my symbols, or numbers and im off into a flow that moves me emotionally, I can paint for minuets, or hours, sometimes even days, that’s why my home studio is called mouse cat park, I’m just in it chasing my tail around…..Most who collect my art connect to a PC, and it always makes me smile because I know exactly what I was going through, who I was channeling, or what the message was hidden behind the hues, it’s always a gift when someone connects. Most of my painting have soulmates symbols, sacred geometry, 444 angelnumbers, or a story, all for healing straight from the divine. I recently was told ” You LOVE like your art” and I sat back and thought, well thats alot of LOVE.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m always up for live music, intimate music where you can hear and feel the soul from an artist as they share who they are with you. Thats usually where you’ll find me, or a farmers’ market, and well on most days I’m at a local cafe, working on something to share. And my home, its where I feel the most safe, inspired, and free to create, I’m somewhat of a hermit, but a happy one to be.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sharing my truth about my beautiful daughter Cerina ” beans” assentation into heaven a few years back is a gift I am now honored to share, as I was pulled down to a deep depth no mother could ever imagine, I also was pulled back into solid ground by the help of another artist named Alex Henry Foster. Like a gift from the divine magically appearing with his similar story of his dads recent passing, I saw and felt a light that had been missing for a long time since my daughter had made her way to heaven. I thought ” wow if this guy can still share his music and move through that pain, yet also i felt he transmuted that into a healing agent, why couldn’t I, so I listened to his music and started painting once again. I channeled my fears, hopes, sorrows, and made it out of the dark night, I thought would never be possible. He knows I love him for this gift, he was so brave, and his music inspires so many others I feel it, I’m just grateful I was chosen to connect to heal. We never know who we inspire, or how we can, it’s about sharing and connecting your truths, they will always reach who they need, just trust the process and have faith to be true.
