We had the good fortune of connecting with Jean Sharony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jean, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success as a Producer has been a combination of perseverance, creativity, and a strong focus on building meaningful relationships with my team and my clients. Over the years, I’ve learned to adapt to challenges, think innovatively, and collaborate effectively with others in this competitive and always changing industry.
Building trust and fostering genuine connections has been instrumental in navigating the complexities of the film and content creation world.
The success of Whisky Films, Whisky Content and On The Rocks Films, has been driven by a clear vision, consistent storytelling, and a commitment to quality and innovation.

By focusing on delivering compelling narratives and engaging content, we’ve been able to resonate with our audience and build a strong reputation in the industry.

Moreover, active participation in the International Quorum of Motion Pictures Producers (IQ) has been instrumental in fostering strong partnerships and staying adaptable to evolving market trends, further contributing to the growth and success of my brands over time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets Whisky Films, Whisky Content & On The Rocks Films apart is our commitment to crafting compelling narratives that resonate with audiences globally. We take pride in our innovative approach, leveraging cutting-edge technology and creative talent to bring stories to life.

Getting to where we are today hasn’t been easy.
Like any business, we’ve faced challenges along the way—whether navigating industry shifts or overcoming production hurdles.
What’s key is resilience and adaptability. We’ve learned to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, constantly refining our strategies and embracing new ideas.

One of the most important lessons learned is the value of collaboration and staying true to our creative vision. Building strong partnerships and fostering a supportive team environment has been instrumental in our success.

Ultimately, I want the world to know that Whisky Films, Whisky Content & On The Rocks Films is more than a production company; we’re storytellers dedicated to inspiring and entertaining audiences. Our journey is driven by passion, creativity, and a commitment to storytelling excellence.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d want to show them the vibrant and diverse experiences Los Angeles has to offer. Here’s a week-long itinerary that captures the best of the city:

Day 1: Start with brunch at a local favorite like Republique, followed by a leisurely walk around Griffith Park and the Griffith Observatory to take in panoramic views of the city. Dinner at Bestia for some amazing Italian cuisine.

Day 2: Explore the arts scene with a visit to The Broad museum and then stroll through the unique shops and cafes in the Arts District. For dinner, head to Guelaguetza for authentic Oaxacan cuisine.

Day 3: Spend the morning at Venice Beach, checking out the boardwalk and Muscle Beach. Grab lunch at Gjelina on Abbot Kinney Blvd, then head to Santa Monica Pier for sunset views and a ride on the Ferris wheel.

Day 4: Take a day trip to Malibu for beach hopping and lunch at Malibu Farm. Stop by the Getty Villa to explore ancient art and architecture.

Day 5: Experience the magic of Hollywood with a studio tour at Warner Bros or Paramount Studios. Visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame and catch a show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.

Day 6: Explore the multicultural flavors of Koreatown with a food tour, sampling Korean BBQ and other delights. Finish the day with karaoke at a local spot.

Day 7: Relax in the serene surroundings of Huntington Gardens in Pasadena, followed by afternoon coffee at Coffee at 27th. End the trip with a farewell dinner at Providence, known for its exquisite seafood.

Additionally, I’m grateful for the insightful collaborations fostered through the International Quorum of Motion Pictures Producers (IQ), which has enriched my approach to filmmaking.
Lastly, my family, especially my son Arie Sharony continues to be a wellspring of motivation and encouragement.
