We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeanette Haggerty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeanette, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I honestly believe the success of my brand is accredited to the love of Family and an honest desire to walk in integrity. Every team member is of family relation and we work hard to create beautiful memories for our clients.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey hasn’t been easy but it’s been one of loss and triumph. After the demise of a fourteen year marriage I was Left with the responsibility of raising three young children. My credit was poor Yet I knew that I had a desire to further My education so that I could better provide for my family. I took a leap of faith and entered culinary school to pursue my passion. The road ahead was daunting but I was determined to no longer work in healthcare as a nurse assistant. I had big dreams and I worked two jobs and went to school full time to achieve them. It was the hardest time of my life but God gave me the strength to endure. I graduated from Le Cor Don Bleu School of Culinary Arts and hit the ground running. I briefly worked in a bakery Where I honed my Craft and shortly after I gained employment at USC Galen Center as a prep cook. While there I created so many flavor profiles that later became my very own spice Line. For eight years I Dedicated my time to being the best I could be but there wasn’t any room for growth so I left to pursue my own full service catering and Event Design business. Everything I’d learned while working there became the foundation of Delectables Catering Inc. In 2016 I gave my catering business everything I had to give! For four years I honed my Craft and serviced Many different types of events from birthday parties, anniversaries, Weddings and more. In 2020 I decided along with my Business partner and Husband to change the name of the business to Haggerty Luxe Events. The change was so necessary and completely reflected All that our business had to offer. Unlike other catering companies we offered full scale event design and delicious food. This one stop shop approach helped to Set us apart from our competitors.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
California Is Such A Beautiful State Full of Lovely Destinations. I’d Take Them on a long scenic drive along the coast. Possibly take a trip to Catalina Island, Laguna Beach and Wine Country.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success is dedicated to the Matriarchs within my family. I’ve been blessed to have known three generations of grandmother’s on my father’s side as well as my grandmother on my Mother’s side of the family. All of them were talented in their own right. Each of them possessed a Love and passion for cooking So it’s in my DNA. I couldn’t help but have a Love for all things culinary Due to them.
