Hi Jennifer, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am not going to lie; starting a business is quite challenging, and I am not where I would love to be. Nevertheless, it has been an incredible journey, especially considering that I am the first in my family to take the leap of faith into entrepreneurship. Throughout this journey, Google has been my closest companion, providing me with invaluable information and insights.

My venture began with the creation of lip balms, but over time, I had the exciting idea to enhance them by adding pigmentation. However, I was determined to make these lip products as healthy as they could possibly be. This commitment led me to invest a significant amount of time, eight hours to be exact, researching the best and safest ingredients for lipstick formulation.

Now, let me share the secret behind my lipstick’s uniqueness. It’s not just about adding color; it’s a blend of lip healers with a delicate hint of tint. What sets it apart is its buildable feature, allowing customers to tailor their lip color to their preference, whether they want a subtle, natural look or a bolder, more dramatic appearance.

I’ve poured my heart and soul into creating a product that not only enhances beauty but also nurtures and cares for the lips. This venture represents not only my passion for cosmetics but also my dedication to offering something genuinely beneficial to my customers.

I am incredibly excited about the prospect of watching my business grow. It’s not just about personal success; I aspire to become an inspiration to many others who are on their own entrepreneurial journeys. I want to show them that with dedication, creativity, and hard work, dreams can become reality.

One of my long-term goals is to give back to my community, particularly the San Fernando Valley. This city has been more than just a location; it’s been the place where I’ve learned invaluable lessons and thrived as an entrepreneur. It’s shaped me and my business in profound ways, and I am deeply grateful for the support and opportunities it has provided.

As I move forward, I hope to contribute to the growth and prosperity of this community that means so much to me. Whether it’s through job opportunities, mentoring, or other initiatives, I want to give back and make a positive impact on the place that has played such a pivotal role in my journey. The future is bright, and I look forward to the day when I can pay it forward and help others realize their potential right here in the San Fernando Valley.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite activities to do in the San Fernando Valley is quite simple but incredibly enjoyable. I like to head over to Ralphs, grab some of my favorite snacks, and then embark on a mini adventure. I drive to a vantage point where I can soak in a breathtaking view of the city. Being a universal person, I find myself easily inspired, and there’s something about witnessing the constant movement and energy of the city that truly fuels my creativity.

But my experiences in the Valley aren’t limited to just observing the urban hustle. I have a deep appreciation for plant-based eating, and this area offers some fantastic options. One of my go-to spots is El Cocinero, where I can indulge in delicious and wholesome plant-based dishes that never fail to satisfy my taste buds.

After a satisfying meal, I often venture into the vibrant NoHo district for an adventure. North Hollywood is a hub of creativity, with its theaters, galleries, and unique shops. Exploring the artistic and cultural scene there is always a rewarding experience.

These simple yet fulfilling activities not only help me find inspiration but also connect me to the diverse and dynamic spirit of the San Fernando Valley, which has played a significant role in shaping who I am today.”

I must say that my friends are an endless source of inspiration, especially those with a creative spark – and they know exactly who they are. Their passion and innovative ideas constantly drive me to explore new horizons in my business ventures.

Among these remarkable individuals, I have a friend named Victoria who stands out as the unwavering pillar of support in my entrepreneurial journey. Victoria is more than just a friend; she’s the confidante I turn to for advice, guidance, and unwavering support. Her wisdom and insights have been invaluable in navigating the challenges and celebrating the successes of my business.

What sets Victoria apart is not just her willingness to help but the genuine care and dedication she brings to the table. She goes above and beyond, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. I consider her not just a friend but also a mentor, and in many ways, like a big sister with a heart of gold.

I must also give a big shout-out to my mother. Formulating lipsticks can be quite messy, and as much as you try not to tint the walls, it’s nearly impossible for it not to happen. My mother has been an incredible source of patience and understanding during these moments. She’s always there with a helping hand and a smile, ready to assist with cleanup or offer a word of encouragement. Her unwavering support and willingness to embrace the colorful chaos that comes with my creative process mean the world to me. I’m truly fortunate to have such an amazing mother by my side as I pursue my passion.
