We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I learned in life that if you are not happy with what you do don’t do it. Knowing my purpose and what I loved is why I chose a creative career. Having the freedom to design and create things has been my passion since I was a little girl. Showcasing all the ideas that popped in my head.

Being creative taught me a lot about myself as well. Seeing women wearing what I create makes me happy and know I am leaving a mark on the world. I want to leave a legacy for my family, to show that I was here. This the best job I have ever had, as a Fashion Designer.

My clothing brand Bodylicious Couture is the push I have in life. The determination to design and create even more amazing garments. Versatile looks that take women throughout their day. This allows me to be innovative and change how fashion is looked at. I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Loving life now and living my dream.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a Fashion Designer, I love that I create versatile high fashion couture garments that are ready to wear. What sets Bodylicious Couture apart is that the design are interchangeable, they can be worn multiple ways. Allowing women the freedom to go through out their day.

My clothing brand Bodylicious Couture has open so many doors for me and giving my the avenue to meet some amazing people and recognize by major platforms. I was truly excited to debut my new Collection Rebel Capsule Collection at New York Fashion Week and be featured in LA Fashion Magazine, L’Offecial Magazine, Grazia Magazine, Reader Digest, Bosspi, and dress Anila Sajja from Married to Medicine.

Through hard work and not giving up, I cannot believe what I have accomplished. It was not easy, but I took each loss and pushed through. Taking all my little wins, which turned into big awards at the end.

What I want the world to know about my brand Bodylicious Couture, is that I design for women in every occasion of their life. To make it easy for them to go from work to fun night in seconds. Also, that I am inspired by the women I met and see everyday, they are all my motivation.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Frist we have to stop by Santa Monica Pier to enjoy the beauty and get great food. Then take a night life and go to One Oak and Nobu, to hope we bump into a celebrity. We definitely have to hit the movie theater in Crenshaw to watch Pan Africa movie and in-out burger after the movie is over. Hit Rodeo Drive to shop and scout place to have a brick and mortar for Bodylicious Couture one day. No matter what LA is full of amazing things to do.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my Shoutout to my Mother Lois, Sister Ella, and Niece Kyra, who motivate and support me. I love you and thank you for inspiring me with your love back.
