We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Araiza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Since I can remember I had an entrepreneur mentally. At a young age I knew that I wanted to be my own boss and be able to have make my own schedule, like my mom. I always found always to monetize what I was doing and I always had a side hustle that lead to starting different Businesses that I was passionate about. Which lead to creating Iza Apparel & Iza Makeup where I combined my passion for fashion and beauty. I first started in the beauty industry as a makeup artist for many years which that lead into the fashion Industry and now focusing on permanent makeup.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The making of Iza has been long and hard, but happy to see how much it has grown in the last years. Every stage of Iza Apparel and Iza Makeup has been exciting. My mission has always been empowering and making people feel great about themselves inside and out through fashion and beauty.
Iza Makeup is definitely doing that with the help of permanent makeup. It is giving people that suffer from over plucking their eyebrows, have survived cancer, have Alopecia get their eyebrows and confidence back with Microblading, scalp hair loss, people that have suffered illness or accidents with paramedical permanent makeup, tattoo removal by providing corrective services resulting in natural realistic results. Being able to provide services that are truly changing and helping people lives, is a blessing and is something that I am proud of. I get to change peoples lives.
The most important factor to Iza’s success is always working harder and longer hours than the next person. Never giving up when life and business got hard, even when I felt like it. Pivoting and changing to stay current and relevant, especially during 2020. Most importantly being authentic, honest and truly caring about my clients.
The biggest take away is that everything in life happens in perfect timing and if you believe in yourself all your dreams will come true as long as you don’t give up.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Everyday would be a different city in the beautiful sunny southern California. Definitely, the first stop would be a two day stay in Temecula for a day of wine tasting and enjoying a resort day. Then off to Orange county to enjoy the sand and beaches, lunch at a rooftop restaurant and a lavish dinner. Then off to enjoy the crazy life of LA and Pasedena.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to all my clients and supporters if it was not for their trust in my services and products I would not be where I am today. In addition, to my family and friends for believing in me and going along with my wild ideas. To all my mentors and PMU friends for sharing their knowledge and constant love and support. I love you all!
