Meet Jeremy A. De Leon | Founding President of PHRE Holdings

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy A. De Leon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeremy A., can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
For me, business has never been just about profit—it has always been about purpose and stewardship. I firmly believe that God entrusts us with resources not simply to accumulate wealth, but to create opportunities, serve others, and positively impact the communities around us. Business, in that sense, becomes a platform for transformation.
Through PHRE Holdings, we operate across several industries including recycling, hospitality, real estate, restaurants, and administrative services. Each of these companies plays a role in a larger mission: to generate sustainable economic activity that allows us to invest back into people and communities.
For example, Progressive Scrap Metals and our recycling operations contribute to environmental sustainability while also providing stable employment and economic opportunity in the United States. Recycling metals keeps valuable materials in circulation, reduces environmental waste, and supports the broader manufacturing supply chain. At the same time, it creates jobs and career paths for individuals who want to build a future for their families.
In the hospitality sector, our boutique hotel and restaurant operations in Antigua Guatemala—including Ciel Luxe Hotels and Notas Restaurant—create employment opportunities, support local tourism, and promote local culture. These businesses employ local staff, collaborate with regional suppliers, and help stimulate the local economy while providing visitors with a meaningful experience of the region.
Our real estate initiatives through PROMA Real Estate Investments focus on developing and restoring properties that strengthen neighborhoods and create long-term economic value. Responsible development not only improves infrastructure but also creates jobs during construction and provides housing and commercial opportunities for communities.
In addition, our administrative and creative services platform, Global Multi-Connect, helps connect talent from Latin America with businesses and projects that need marketing, administrative, and creative support. This allows skilled individuals to access professional opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable in their local markets.
Beyond the businesses themselves, the profits generated through these companies help fuel our broader mission to serve communities. Through partnerships, outreach initiatives, and faith-driven efforts, we are able to support projects in the United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Kenya. These initiatives include community development programs, youth mentorship, entrepreneurial training, and support for schools and churches in underserved areas.
At the core of it all is a simple belief: business can be a force for good. When companies are built with integrity, purpose, and stewardship in mind, they can create more than economic value—they can create hope, opportunity, and transformation.
My goal as an entrepreneur is not simply to build successful companies, but to build businesses that become vehicles for impact—empowering people, strengthening communities, and ultimately honoring the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with resources.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey into entrepreneurship didn’t begin with a perfectly designed plan—it began with faith, resilience, and a defining moment that changed the direction of my life.
Years ago, I was involved in a serious accident that forced me to slow down and reevaluate everything. In many ways, that moment became a turning point. It made me reflect deeply on purpose, on the value of time, and on the responsibility we have to make our lives count for something greater than ourselves. What could have been a setback became a moment of clarity. I realized that if I was given another opportunity to move forward, I wanted to build something meaningful—not just for myself, but for others as well.
From that point forward, entrepreneurship became more than a career path; it became a mission.
I began building businesses with the mindset that each one could serve a greater purpose. Over time, those efforts grew into what is now PHRE Holdings, a family of companies operating across multiple industries including recycling, real estate development, hospitality, restaurants, and administrative services.
One of our earliest operational focuses was in the recycling industry through Progressive Scrap Metals. Recycling allowed us to participate in an industry that not only creates economic opportunity but also contributes to environmental sustainability by giving valuable materials a second life. That business has grown into an important part of our operations in the United States and continues to provide jobs and support the broader manufacturing supply chain.
From there, we began expanding into other sectors where we saw opportunities to build and restore value. Through PROMA Real Estate Investments, we began acquiring and developing properties with the goal of revitalizing spaces and creating long-term economic stability through real estate.
Our expansion into hospitality and restaurants came through projects such as Ciel Luxe Hotels and Notas Restaurant in Antigua Guatemala. These ventures were built with the vision of creating memorable experiences for visitors while also generating employment and supporting local communities.
Another important part of our ecosystem is Global Multi-Connect, which provides administrative, marketing, and creative services while connecting talented professionals—especially in Latin America—with businesses and opportunities that allow them to grow professionally.
What began as one step of faith after a difficult season in my life has grown into a network of businesses that operate in multiple countries including the United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Kenya. Yet the heart behind it all remains the same: business should be a vehicle for impact.
Today, through PHRE Holdings and the people who work alongside me, we are able not only to build companies but also to support initiatives that serve communities, create jobs, and bring opportunities to places where they are needed most.
Looking back, the accident that once felt like a setback ultimately became the moment that helped shape my purpose. It reminded me that life is fragile, time is valuable, and when we are given opportunities and resources, we should use them to build something that serves others and leaves a lasting impact.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, my greatest shoutout has to go to God. My faith is the foundation of everything in my life. I truly believe that every opportunity, every lesson, and every door that has opened along my journey has been by His grace. There have been many challenges along the way, and it has been my faith that has provided the strength, wisdom, and perseverance to keep moving forward.
I also want to recognize my family, who have been an incredible source of support throughout my journey—my parents, my sister, my wife, and my son. Entrepreneurship often requires sacrifice, long hours, and constant pressure, and having a family that believes in you, encourages you, and stands with you through both the victories and the struggles makes all the difference.
Another group that deserves tremendous recognition is my core team at PHRE Holdings. These individuals are not just employees—they are partners in the mission. Day to day they wear multiple hats, moving between different industries, responsibilities, and even countries. One moment they may be helping operate a recycling facility, another moment supporting a hospitality project, and another working on initiatives that serve communities around the world.
What makes this team special is their willingness to serve beyond business. Whether it’s supporting projects in the United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, or Kenya, they step into whatever role is needed. They understand that our work is not just about building companies—it’s about building opportunities and serving those who need it most.
Success is never a solo journey. It’s built on faith, family, and people who are willing to believe in the vision and work together to make it a reality. I’m deeply grateful for every person who has been part of this journey.
