We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Henry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well I have always loved music from a young age. The idea of it actually being something i can also earn income from came after i played the beat invitational at the 2015 Low End Theory Festival. It was a great experience and i got a lot of great feedback from the crowd after. Also once i got to connected with Daddy Kev and Alpha Pup Records that of solidified it for me but at the end of it all it’s because i just love making music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well it definitely hasn’t been easy lol. I had two daughters early in life which were and still are the best part of my life. With that being said pursuing a musical career while being a father can require a lot of multitasking haha but its for-sure is not an excuse to achieve what you have put your mind to. Along with that learning to create beats has been a lengthy process to say the least. Ive been at it for about 9 years now and from the day i first picked up my Maschine I’ve had days where i wanted to quit and days when everything just flows. You have to be able to weather the storm if you really want to achieve respect and success in it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definetly hit up Amoeba Records. Go grab some food at Gen Korean BBQ. Hit the TLC Collective to grab some fire. Pull up to the Korean Bell in San Pedro and hit The Off Beat Bar in Highland Park. Maybe go to the Griffith Observatory. Forsure go to the beach and drive up PCH for a day. Ofcourse this would be after COVID lol. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most definitely would like to give a shout out to fam Slim Jeff. He has definitely pushed me to reach higher creative fields and has always been a great mentor for me.
