We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy + Mariko Wang and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy + Mariko, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
While being a hard-worker is very important, I was also taught the value of being a smart worker. We implement cleaning techniques that are not only done is an efficient manner, but that result in a more superior cleaning. Having strong moral values is something that is important to each one on our team, and we try to deal honestly and fairly with everyone.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We specialize in Move-in | Move-out Cleaning + Window Washing in the greater Pasadena area. While there are numerous companies out there who offer cleaning services, we carry a $2,000,000 General Aggregate Liability insurance policy and Worker’s Compensation for our employees, as well for the safety and peace of mind of our customers.

I appreciate companies like Trader Joes and Costco who not only treat their customers well, but who also take care of their own. That is the kind of loyalty that we try to implement in our company.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Without a doubt, the best kept secret in LA is the Mt Wilson Observatory parking lot. Only about a :45 minute drive from Old Town Pasadena, you skip the uber-cool Griffith Observatory-loving crowd, and soak in the LA basin from 5,000′ up in the sky. As you scan from your right sitting down in a lawn chair in the parking lot, one can see the TV antennas behind you, San Fernando Valley, Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica, Downtown LA, Port of Long Beach, and all of Orange County. Get there a little before dusk, and you can start to see the sun set into the Pacific Ocean, followed by the city lights starting to twinkle and light up the night sky. My kids love watching the airplanes descend into LAX while relaxing, overlooking a city of 4 million people who have no clue what a great spot we are sitting at, enjoying each other’s company. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without my wife’s gentle reminders, we would not have the work-life balance we have now. I remember working well past midnight when we first started cleaning. Of course, even now, we try our best to accommodate our customer’s requests. However, we’ve come to learn that, in general, there isn’t such a thing as a dire need for a 12am move-out cleaning or window washing.
