Meet Jessica Joines | Spiritual Coach for Female Execs & Founder of Women’s Purpose Community

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Joines and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I am a big fan of risk and it has absolutely fueled my business and soul purpose. Because here’s the thing, something is only perceived to be “risky” when we have fear attached to it. The majority of our fears are unfounded; manifestations of the ego self. Therefore, I purposefully have a practice I employ in my life and business where I work hard to NOT take actions aligned with where the voice of fear is guiding me (e.g., don’t do it, you’ll fail, etc.). I instead follow my heart and higher self guidance, even if on the surface, this seems “risky.” This included, making the decision to step away from my successful advertising career in 2011 to spend a year on a spiritual solo-travel journey. To eventually walking away from my Global CMO role to start a spiritual coaching business. While all these choices could have been perceived as risky — they weren’t. Because they followed the directly my soul was leading me towards. And where our soul leads us is never risky, even though, our egos like to tell us otherwise.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I launched the Women’s Purpose Community in early 2021 for C-Suite women who crave safe spaces to do the courageous and deeply-personal work of self-discovery, which I am probably the most excited about at the moment. This follows building a highly successful spiritual coaching business for female execs, following an 18-year corporate marketing career. I also have a brand new live coaching podcast on Unity Radio, which is an opportunity for women to practice embodied vulnerability. Many women from the WPC have come on my show.
It has not been easy but that’s part of my spiritual journey. Key to my success has been not engaging with my own fears as “the truth,” but as my most powerful teachers. As the voice of fear in my head is always reflecting to me where I have work to do. So diving into this “work” has been essential to creating my soul purpose business. Including, following my heart’s guidance and my specific path of resonance, even if it doesn’t always seem like the logical thing to do. Resonance is the language of the Universe. And where you align to IT, your highest potential and purpose unfolds. This has been my experience. But there have been many moments where my faith has been tested. In these moments I remind myself that, “The truth in my heart is more real than the one I see.”
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t know about detailing a week-long trip–as I’m all about spontaneity, not overly planning things. But here are some highlights:
– Hiking Mishe Mokwa in the Santa Monica Mountains
– Malibu Creek State Park (all of it!)
– Beach trip in Malibu (where I live)
– Summer Shakespeare at Topanga Theatricum Botanicum
– Topanga Living Cafe
– Ojai Olive Oil Vineyard
– Griffith Park picnic
– Damian downtown (amaze!)
– Tacos Por Favor in Santa Monica (the California Burrito)
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The incredible female leaders who are a part of the Women’s Purpose Community and have believed in me from day one. Including, Laura Maness, Carrie Schonberg, Stephanie Olson and Meredith Latham.
