Meet Joe Killinger | Real Estate Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joe Killinger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joe, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Many of us start our own business with the thought that it will give us freedom and that can be the ultimate goal but we must create the plan that we can execute on. I mentor many business owners and I find that they are true entrepreneurs that know how to find the idea of the business but struggle with the execution of that business. When an entrepreneur try’s to build a company with out a plan or the proper funding the chances of the business actually making it become much less likely to succeed. I always recommend to look at the business as a very successful venture a few years down the road and then work backwards to how you actually got to that point, how did you create the revenue, how many employees did it take, how much space did you need to lease, how much money did it take to get there and once you have that data complied and feel comfortable with your finances you then start moving on your path.

Never hesitate to reach out to someone in that industry and ask their advice, not everyone will agree to do it for you but the ones that do will provide you valuable information and save you lots of time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have a youtube channel and website for individuals that want to become a real estate entrepreneur (agent, investor, operator). I am proud of the fact that we are able to help a good number of entrepreneurs start their business and find success. We give this time for free as I feel that helping entrepreneurs get started on a solid career path only helps our industry grow with new ideas.

I have been in the real estate business for over 20 yrs, I have launched my own companies and invested in others, some wins and some losses. It was never easy but that’s what motivates me, I live for the challenge, I love the chance to get creative and figure out the solutions to our business problems. I am finding it gets easier with age as I have now been through a lot!!!

We want everyone to know there are opportunities for those that are willing to take the risk and have a solid work ethic. Our brand was built on giving back to our community as we believe when you launch your business you better have your community in mind first and foremost.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely go up PCH near county line and enjoy the beach.

My parents-They gave me the freedom to create and always were available for any of my questions and ideas. The best mentors ever!!!
