Meet Joel Pulido | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joel Pulido and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joel, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Time only goes forward, for better or worse. With cameras, you can capture or record a moment for years to come, whether it be a planned shot, or a spontaneous moment. Having that mindset, I believe it’s a wonderful thing to be someone who can be there for those people wanting to have their moment captured. Building the skills and experience needed for that is valuable, and through that value, is what I’m able to offer myself for to others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to consider myself a multi purpose photographer, a “Jack Of All Trade” in a way. I’ve dabbled in almost every common field in the photography world. Of course, there was a few bumps going that way, biggest being not having enough examples to showcase new clients what I’m capable of, so anytime someone allows a small timer like myself to give it a go, you best believe I’ll do whatever I can to make it work. If there’s only one thing I could only hoped on improving, it would be my marketing skills, I’m not necessarily bad per say, just, a little too nice and flexible haha.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Given the amount of locations I’ve been to, it’s rather difficult to pinpoint just a single spot. Malibu would be my more diverse choice, aside from the beaches, there’s a lot of other landscapes just as scenic.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everyone who has allowed me to photograph them, whether it be clients, an old friend, or stranger made friends, have all played a role in where I have gotten to in my career. Y’all know who you are! I thank you for time and effort in my photography journey!
