Meet Joey Supratta: Founder of Supratta Records, Artist/Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joey Supratta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joey, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
To keep it as simple as possible.. Giving up is never an option. If you’re passionate about something, keep pushing until you reach your goals and then some. Success doesn’t come easy. There will be countless moments of discouragement and disappointments. Sleepless nights. Second guessing and many obstacles that will test your commitment to your dreams but If you continue to push through the darkest nights you’ll realize the brightest days are on the other side. Your success will come as long as you don’t give up on yourself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Joey Supratta and I am an independent Record Label Owner/Artist & Producer.

What sets me apart from others is my creative ability and ambition. I won’t settle for not being the best. While still remaining humble, the confidence I have drives me to always push myself with my music. I always try to outshine myself with every new record.

I wish I could say this road is an easy one but unfortunately it’s not. But my team is filled with individuals who share the same dream I do and we help push each other in the right direction. The best advice I can give to someone starting a new label or wanting to become a musician is to NEVER give up! Your success is on its way. Don’t cut it short.

Supratta Records is a team of 5 creative people. Each artist is versatile, talented, ambitious, and ready to show the world just what they can do on wax. All of us are solo artists but also perform and release music under a group called “Supratta Family” and we are currently working on a new EP. Follow us all online to stay up to date with that drop.

We’re always working whether it’s on music, new merchandise, or creative film projects and promo videos. There are no other local independent teams doing it quite the way we do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In all honesty, there aren’t too many places I like to go out to unless it’s a live show, If a show was happening I’d say one of the venues on sunset blvd. There are a lot of dope spots to hear music and grab something to eat. Other than that, I’m mostly locked in the studio drinking some scotch and trying to be as creative as possible.

Until I reach my goals it’s go time. Gotta keep working. Besides maybe my friend would want to see the work process and get an inside look at the studio life. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a big shoutout to my team.. Hollow Brooks, Ttereve, Insomnia Krew, Benjamin Stein. These artists have been with me from the beginning and they all deserve recognition. Remember these names, you’ll be seeing them a lot.
