We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The thing with “Flow,” it will only favor you when you are living within it. No matter what you do or how much money you’re making if you are outside of Flow you will not be happy.

From I was a young kid I wanted to be a part of The Movies. Growing up watching Superman, Starwars, and even Jaws, I was curious about how they made these films. But a young boy from South London had no access to this industry. Plus with old paradigm parents, I had to get an “honest hard working job’ as a doctor, Lawyer, or work for a respected company, and put in the hours. “This is the only way to live,” my amazing Mother and Father told me; passing their programming down to me.

So I became a very unhappy IT Support Agent for a well-known money transfer company. I hated it, and couldn’t figure out why, no matter what wins I got in this role, it was never enough for my manager. In the 7 years, I was there I didn’t get promoted once and my pay rise in total was just under a grand for the whole duration of my employment

This had to change. So when I stopped blaming others and took full responsibility for my situation this is when clarity hit me.
I remember sitting in this open-planned office which was busy with my work colleague tapping away on their keyboards, walking around in haste to catch their next meeting and people on the phones negotiating deals, with me feeling like a fish out of water.

I asked myself what would you do if money was no issue and you had everything you needed?

2 days later I was attending an opening day for a VFX Compositing Course at an academy that was a 5-minute bus ride away from my workplace. Now that is Flow in action.

I signup and paid for the course, handed in my notice, and left my job, never looked back since.

Now, I have worked on some really cool indie films as a Compositor and I have created teaser trailers for Hollywood films as a Film Editor. I am currently editing my first feature film with more films lined up for the future and my freelance is shifting into a niche of Documentaries for spiritual and life coaches.

So why did I Pursue a creative career? It’s because this is my purpose and my flow state.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started my post production freelance about 8 years ago. During this time I have mastered a few other skills around imagery. one being Cinematography and the other Photography.

Making this step enhanced my service in a way that now I can capture your project in film or photos and bring them to life in post-production editing, or high-end photo retouching.

Coming from a cinema background, working with me, you’ll find your imagery, including photos will take on a Cinematic look and feel. The science behind this choice of look is interesting and beneficial for some projects as this is what viewers love to see.
There are some amazing humans in this world who have dedicated their lives to changing the world for a better place. I believe that their story is cinematic and it should be told with the utmost high-quality aesthetics. I have teamed up with some amazing Directors, Writers, and Life Coaches and we have created some awesome projects.

Getting to this point has not been easy as I had to take on projects which did not fulfill my missions. However, they were necessary for me to practice my craft and find my style. These fun projects came in the form of Fashion & Beauty, and even Product photography. I also took on some low-budget on-purpose projects which I highly recommend. This is where I learned lots about the industry and working on set with a cast and crew.

My freelance, Inspiring Visions is being built on 3 pillars. Empower, Inspire and Awaken. This is the purpose.

My why is that we are all consciousness living a human experience and we have forgotten our true power. I intend to create films to awaken as many people as possible, remind them of what we are capable of, and inspire them to empower others in the world. Our mission will be to set everyone free.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
ok, so it’s all about food with me.

Living in Brighton, we would eat at Moshimo Japanese. Pattie & Bun. Club Cecconi’s at Brighton Beach Soho house.
Then we would hit the many bars in Brighton.

I was born in London so we would spend a few days there.
Theatres, The Lion King. Back to the future. Then hit some bars like Vertigo Champainge bar and we would head back to my hometown Brixton and Clapham for some good West Indian food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
my path was enlightened by an amazing book called, The Power Of Intentions by Dr. Wayne Dyer. This book helped to start my journey into Flow.

Along the way, I’ve met some amazing inspiring friends like David Racca and Luis Gomes.

And a big massive shout goes out to my Girlfriend, who has supported me, encouraged me, mentored me, and loved me even through the hard times
