We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Wentz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Making a commitment to show up fully and authentically as myself was the most important decision I made.
I’m a weirdo. I’m a leader. I’m a clown. I’m a hype-woman. I’m a performer. I’m an extrovert and an introvert. I’m an emotional person. And so much more…But all of these aspects make me who I am, and that is beautiful.
In an image-driven society obsessed with beauty and filled with preconceived notions of what perfection is, I’ve put myself out there to break that cycle – To say that I’m not perfect and I don’t want to be, but instead, that I fully embrace myself and all the awesome that I am — and that if I can do it, so can you.
Through movement and mindset I was able to embrace myself and all my facets, and finally fully trust and believe in myself. This meant I was able to put myself out there like never before by sharing myself and my work with the world and inspiring others to do the same.
Now, I help people show up as their most authentic selves through the same movement and mindset practices that helped me. These are so important because when you do them, you get out of your way and become your most confident self. And with confidence, you can do anything you set your mind to.
With confidence, I’m more likely to show up online, I’m more confident with my clients, I attract the right people, and I’m able to do meaningful work that makes a difference in the world – a positive one – and that means the world to me.
At MyMovementality, I’ve helped thousands step into themselves, unleash their inner badass, and own their power, so they can finally live their most fulfilled lives. Finding the confidence to be myself has allowed me to help countless others do the same, so they can shine their brightest and live the life they deserve. That is what my work is all about.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m changing the game when it comes to what people are capable of by revolutionizing the way health and wellness is done. As the basis of a wholesome life, including happiness, success, longevity, and life fulfillment, health and wellness is essential, and I’ve mastered the ways to improve all of them, using mindset, movement and dance as the catalyst.
My unique movement mindset programs have helped thousands of people transform their social and emotional wellness and transform their lives, where they’ve gone from stressed, anxious, depressed, and out of shape to unlocking their full potential and unleashing their best selves.
In addition, through theatrics, goofy characters, and clowning techniques I’m able to bring something to the table that no one else is doing – reconnecting everyone with their inner child and teaching them how to not take themselves too seriously, but instead, reminding them how to have FUN.
Now, I use my 20 years of performance and mindset experience to help people ditch their self limiting beliefs and find the confidence to live their free-rest most bada$$ lives through EPIC dance parties.
I’m honored to have partnered with companies like Reebok, the IDEA Health and Fitness Association and Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” Campaign, where I’ve helped people find fulfillment through movement and dance.
I’m also proud of the amount of personal transformation I’ve pioneered for thousands, as well as the community I’m building.
I look forward to reaching more people and helping them improve their lives and their community through movement and mindset.
I started dancing as a kid and became serious about it in high school. I later moved to LA to pursue it professionally where I also got into acting and modeling, as I continued to train and teach dance.
For years I worked in the entertainment industry building my resume, contacts, experience, and list of places visited while I became increasingly more interested in bettering myself and sharing what helped me so much with others.
I was an internationally touring choreographer and film actress that began coaching others on the tips and tricks that led to my successful career on stages across the world after overcoming debilitating low self-confidence, myself. I then founded MyMovementality – a platform for total health and wellness through movement, where I’ve helped thousands transform their inhibitions to shine their brightest and live their fullest lives.
I combine my passion for giving back with my movement and mindset coaching to help people gain the trust and belief in themselves they need to unleash their inner rockstar – giving them the tools they need to achieve all their dreams with unwavering authenticity. I continue to teach around the world, turning dreamers into do-ers, and “I love myself”-ers.
Starting a business has been far from easy, but because it’s driven by my passion to positively change lives, it’s all been enjoyable.
My biggest challenge has been learning the ins and outs of the technology that comes with running a content-based business of my caliber. I had to get over feeling like an old lady trying to understand a cell phone and dive in with a growth mindset. And because of my mentality, I’ve learned so much and truly crushed it!
I’ve learned that if you can dream it, you can do it.
I had a feeling in my gut about starting MyMovementality and I listened to it. Now, I’m impacting thousands and helping them live their happiest lives – all through the same movement and mindset practices that helped me so much.
I learned how to get out of my own way so I could live my best life once, and I learned it again when I founded MyMovementality. By no longer standing in my own way, I get to consistently show up as the best version of myself, and now, I get to help countless others do the same.
I know what it’s like to dim your light and to know that you’re capable of so much more, but have no idea how to get there.
I’m here to tell you that you are so capable, so powerful, and totally deserve to shine your brightest.
It’s not an easy journey to do alone but it can be with my help, and a whole lot more fun too!
Consider me your personal cheerleader, helping you get on track and stay there, so you can get on with living your best life!
I’ve mastered the process to take anyone at any age or level and transform them into their happiest, healthiest, most kick ass selves, with things like my Badass Blueprint.
Dance is the best medicine because it relieves stress and anxiety and brings, joy, clarity, and confidence to your life – so you can be unstoppable!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love when friends visit and I’m an expert at showing them the best time ever!
Day 1: After hitting Sage Vegan Bistro, I’d definitely take them to the iconic Venice Beach because there’s so much to see there! We’d walk through the Venice Canals on our way to the Venice Beach boardwalk. After that we’d head towards the water and have a dance party in the sand next to the ocean for sunset – because no beach day is complete without a dance party.
Day 2: We’d grab Wild Living Foods (raw, organice, and so delicious) before driving up the PCH highway towards Malibu. We’d then hike the Solstice Canyon loop and head to Zuma Beach for sunset dinner at The Sunset restaurant.
Day 3: Fashion district day – because you can’t come to LA without checking out the FD and all the shopping, food, and culture there. Don’t forget to grab some street corn!
Day 4: We’d hit the road early and head for the hills. Well, the mountains actually. We’d hit up some trails around the San Gorgonio mountain in the San Bernardino Mountains. On the way back we’d pick up our favorite thai food at Green Leaves Vegan.
Day 5: I’d show them the gorgeous Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena and we’d hit up Cruzer’s 100% Vegan Pizza after that for my favorite pesto pizza in the world.
Day 6: We’d stop at the Vegan Joint for lunch and then explore DTLA on some Lyft electric bikes.
Day 7: To finish the week with a bang, we’d check out the incredible art at the Corey Helford Gallery and head to a party after at Creatington to end the trip the only way I know how – with dancing!
So be sure to hit me up when you come to town and I’ll show you the ropes for sure (=

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to shoutout to this incredible multi-disciplinary artist – Alan Crossley. Not only is he talented, but his work is all about enlightening others and bringing joy to their lives, with his colorful, meaningful works.
He also happens to be my partner, and he’s the most loving, supportive one I could have ever dreamed of. He’s been a huge supporter of me on my journey (including on site tech support and trouble shoot guru – and for that, I’m forever grateful!)
