We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordyn Randall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordyn, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Authenticity is everything to me. When I see people being unapologetically themselves, expressing themselves without a care in a world it really warms my heart.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The day my web series “STICKS” came out was my proudest moment, seeing everyone’s reactions to something that I created was an amazing feeling.
My journey began when I received my BFA in acting and since have been working on short films and creating my own web series “STICKS”. What a journey it has been and easy wouldn’t be the word to describe it. There have been many hiccups to get to where I am with my own project and being an actress in the business. The only way I was able to overcome those challenges was with the support that I had around me to keep me grounded.
The main lesson that I’ve learned is that this business is a 90 hour job. You have to be patient and consistent if you really want to see results. I would like the world to know that I have an energy that captivates the screen and I want to share my light with the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh wow, there are so many different cool fun places to visit in LA, I would take them to some of the tourists places, beaches and enjoy the night life. We would first have to go to brunch at H Cafe and get bottomless mimosas. After brunch we would have to go to Everyday People’s Day Party. Once we’ve danced as much as we could, we’re heading to Bludso’s Bar & Q where the best ribs are. And end the night at “The Room”, a bar in hollywood and maybe we’ll run into a star or two. Those are just a few of my fav places. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be diddly squat if it wasn’t for my mom. She’s given me so many opportunities for me to be myself in any way I chose and opened doors for me to even be able to say this to you all now. I love her.
