We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Goldman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
As a local landscaping business, we get to visually transform our community through sustainable and beautiful outdoor spaces. By using California native and drought-tolerant plants along with water-wise irrigation practices, we create outdoor spaces that conserve water, support the environment, and leave a lasting positive impact on our community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is built on hard work, passion, and a real love for creating outdoor spaces that are both functional and meaningful. What sets us apart is that we focus on doing things the right way, sustainable landscaping and long-term quality instead of quick, temporary results.
Josh, 36, has been in the landscaping industry for over 16 years. After working all across California, he started a local family-owned business serving the South Bay. With a background in horticultural studies and landscape design, he’s been able to bring both the technical side and creative side together, while also building strong relationships with clients over the years.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Like any service business, the hardest part has been earning trust, staying consistent, and building long-term client relationships. It takes time, patience, and a lot of hands-on work, but sticking with quality and doing right by people is what made it work.
Over time, one of the biggest lessons is that your reputation is everything, it comes from consistency and how you treat people. Even with all the challenges, Josh’s passion for landscaping never really changed, and that’s what keeps it all worth it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I would highly recommend the Redondo Beach Rivera Plaza. It offers a variety of local restaurants and a scenic beach walk.

We also have a special fondness for Burger Night at Rebel Republic Social House and enjoy spending time by the cove in Palos Verdes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to Mike and the team at Harvest to Home.
I worked with Mike early on in my landscaping journey, and he was the one who gave me my first real opportunity in the field. That experience meant a lot because it helped me learn the trade hands-on and understand what it takes to do the job right. I’m grateful for the time I spent working under him and the foundation it gave me moving forward.
