We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Rosario and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Acting has been my passion for as long as I can remember. No matter how difficult things have gotten, I feel that giving up is not an option for me. I meet many different people and even on those days when things are not going well, interactions with even one person gives me the encouragement that I need to keep going. I know that this is a career that usually takes a long time to “make it”, and I have to pay my dues, so I keep going……. Giving up is just not in my vocabulary. It is my passion, it’s what I love to do, and there is no greater feeling than knowing that you made someone laugh, or that your presence made a difference in their life, even if just for a short while.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One of my passions, aside from acting, is digital media. I enjoy creating images, editing videos, and taking photos. I’m very proud to be part of an amazing company like Universal Studios, where I currently work as a Jurassic World Ride Operator. I am very excited for the show I am currently a part of, Kulture Kombat. I have been producing this show with my team for the past couple of months and it has been an amazing, exciting, and rewarding experience where I have had the opportunity to meet professional wrestlers and actors, and then share that experience with the world via social media.

The past 4 years have not always been easy. However, every day I focus on my goal of becoming an actor and bringing joy and laughter to others. My work ethic is this: Work hard every day and focus on the goal, no matter how long it takes or how bumpy the road gets. This is what has helped me stay on track, despite the numerous challenges I face in this industry. I look up to many actors that continue to inspire me to follow in their footsteps to achieve my dream. The support of my family has also been amazing, and they continue to motivate me and encourage me to keep going.

One lesson I have learned, from the great words of Yoda, “Do or Do Not, There Is No Try.” I don’t try to be anything else but my true self. I have also learned that the entertainment industry is not an easy one. There are endless trials that often make you want to give up. There is a great deal of competition and getting your first break seems like a far off dream. However, I continue to work hard, to pray, to show others what I can do, and to trust that I will get that first break; that first acting job that will put me on the map.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When visiting Southern CA, there is so much you can do that one week will not seem like enough time to enjoy everything this wonderful place has to offer. There is a great deal of diversity in people, cuisines, and just great places to visit and enjoy. If I was the tour guide, here how the week would go:
First stop would be at Universal Studios Hollywood to enjoy the fun rides and experiences the park has to offer. The second day would be filled with wandering around the surrounding areas and after a packed day of activities, we would catch a movie at The AMC CityWalk theater where we would get some buttery popcorn and watch a captivating story on the big screen. On the third day we would enjoy some ethnic food at one of my favorite Puerto Rican restaurants in North Hollywood called Mofonos; trust me, the food is delicious! The following day, we could make our way to the Hollywood Improv to see world famous comedians make people fall to the floor laughing, and even enjoy a few drinks. Next stop would be at the Hollywood Blvd to see The Walk Of Fame and create a custom figure at the Funko Store. A memorable trip must include a visit to the Pantages Theater to watch a Broadway Musical such as Beetlejuice or The Phantom of the Opera. Next day we would enjoy a long walk along the beach, visit some of the shops, enjoy some of the wonderful food and drinks. On the last day of the trip, we would end it by enjoying the breathtaking view of watching the sunset at Dockweiler Beach listening to the waves next to a cozy bonfire.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate a shout out to my Universal Studios Family for helping me grow as an individual and performer. Always motivating and inspiring me to be myself and entertain every guest that comes through the Jurassic World Ride. I would also like to dedicate a shout out to the most important people in my life, my family. They have been my biggest supporters and my biggest fans. Especially my mom. Without her I wouldn’t be in this world and I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
