We had the good fortune of connecting with JuliAnn Stitick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JuliAnn, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent I made a conscious decision to live my life and value myself the way I would want my children to live their own lives and honor themselves. Not to say I have a perfect track record, but there is always room to model honest reflection and growth. My husband Joe and I have been good role models and provided a well-run, supportive home environment. Our grown children are independent and equipped for life. They value kindness, empathy and service. They take responsibility for their own lives and treat others with respect. They value transparent communication and solution-based thinking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about the growth of our company Cast Iron Babe and the team of high-caliber, solidly-experienced, and enthusiastic individuals dedicated to the mission of our company. We are devoted to building cast iron strong families by providing a supportive, wholesome community, the Cast Iron Babe YouTube show that teaches practical life skills for parents and kids, and life skill activity and character building kits for parents, grandparents or educators to do with kids.

Cast Iron Babe’s entire team is highly attuned to the current needs of families, devoted to serving others, helping them to find their purpose and their joy and to share that journey every step of the way.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to the sweet young boy who lives next door and who inspired Cast Iron Babe with his curiosity, imagination and desire to learn.

We would also like to give a shoutout to Sarah Mattern, our Designer and Developer who inspired the brand’s visual voice and copy to resonate among our community.
