We had the good fortune of connecting with Julio Martinez-Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julio, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My end goal is to elevate the communities where I do business, impact positively, and transform the lives of as many people as possible.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We help Medtech companies succeed with their clinical trials in Latin America. We are the only Medtech-focused contract research organization in Latin America. Our business is one-of-a-kind. My brother Pedro started our company in 2010 with the vision of filling a void in the Medtech industry. Before us, there was no professional company helping Medtech companies with their clinical trials in Latin America. It wasn’t easy at the beginning. We had to establish credibility with investigators in Latin America before they accepted to work with us. We learned that clinical trials benefit a country, especially patients needing access to innovative medical technologies unavailable in Latin America. We want the world to know that Latin America has the only Medtech-focused CRO closing the medical innovation gap between the US and Latin American countries.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami has a lot to offer. I’d walk along Brickell Ave. and the Design District and hit any bar or restaurant. You can’t go wrong in either of these two areas. I’d go to South Point in Miami Beach, one of the best spots to walk and experience Miami’s beach life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I recognize the vision of my brother Pedro, who identified a problem in the Medtech industry and saw an opportunity to help Medtech companies with their clinical trial plans in Latin America. Pedro set the vision for the company, and I executed his vision.
