Meet Jupiter Jones | Artistic Jack of all Trades, Creator and Much More

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jupiter Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jupiter, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m originally from the East Coast, and have lived around the country and world. I think it has impacted not only my life but art as well. I grew up in a pretty diverse environment and It has greatly shaped my prospective on how I look at things around me. Growing up all over the place, with different cultures and vastly different backgrounds has made me a very resilient and adaptable person overall.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is inspired by the dream world, fairies, magick, harajuku,,the macabre and so many other things. My art is so ever evolving and ever expanding. It makes me most proud at my ability to make something new, fresh and exciting to the eye. It took me many, many years of practice and experiementation, trial and error to be the artist and make the art I want to make today. Art has always been what I fall back on as well, when times get rough. Art is always there. I think that is the main lesson about being an artist, that I’ve learned. Being comfortable in my own skin as well as my own skills as an artist used to be really hard for me, but with years experimenting and fingind new mediums of art to work with helped me overcome that.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Echo park is definatly somewhere I’d take folks who havent been here before, that place is very nice, crystal lake, and big bear are also some really awesome camping grounds where you can go to get away from the city life, I think camping and getting out to nature is so important. I really like tea, chado tea room is one of my favorite spots, it has really great tea and its an awesome place to go with friends. The alamo theatre is another favorite spot of mine as well that I recently learned about, if you like movies I highly recommend going here.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
shout out to my personal support group thats been there helping with my hopes, goals, and overall dreams.
