Meet Justina Biosah: Actress, artist & writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justina Biosah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justina, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Since i was six years old i fell in love with the arts after watching a Bollywood movie with my mum. I loved everything about the arts, the music, the acting and the creative process. I soon fell in love with the telling stories through musicals, movies and music. It was a passion that just got strong over time and i knew it was something i was destined to do.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think one of the biggest things i’ve learned working in the entertainment industry is to stay in your own lane and walk your own path. In an industry where you are compared to others every single day it can feel a bit discouraging when doors continue to close. But you have to remember that you are the only you. No one else is you. When you realise you have no competition, thats when doors start to open. I’ve learned to never compare myself to other actors/artist and just focus on my talents and my dreams. There is room for you in the industry as long as you work hard, continue to build your brand and put 100% into your goals. For me i have to love a project i’m working on. Its not just about the pay cheque, its about the project. I have been very lucky to star in a movie that i loved and to film in a TV show which i think would be a fantastic show. (when it gets released) I also decided to start my own production company (justinaproductions.com) because i want to make movies that i wrote, i have been writing since i was 12 and would love to bring my projects to life. Its scary but i’m proud i’ve taken that step. I even got to cast for one of my first projects which was extremely exciting. So i’m just looking forward to what comes next.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love any place that i get to dress up and my best friend is the exact same. I love scenery, especially a spot that has floral decorations. Catch LA is one of my fave spots in LA. Its beautiful and the food is incredible. A week out would insist of lunch in all the pretty spots, like ‘Henry’s’ on Robert blvd, another fave spot of mine. I would take her to Malibu and visit Malibu wines and Nobu and i would take her to Melrose Avenue to visit the different range of stores that stretch over more than twenty blocks. I would show them Rodeo drive and have drinks at the montage before dinner at Maestro’s steak house or Avra.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly i always thank God first. I truly believe i wouldn’t be where i am without my faith. It has been the only thing that has kept me focused. Then of course, the support from my family, especially my sister. She pushes me to be the best version of myself. I am inspired by her all the time and how hard working she is. Watching her create her fashion business inspired me to take my writing to the next level and create my own production company.
