We had the good fortune of connecting with Justine F. / Christina L. Flores/ Lozada and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justine F. / Christina L., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We launched our business during the Pandemic. The idea was to create a gathering space where people could meet, connect, and try new things. *Picnics with a Purpose*
Our sister company, Get Inspo, used to meet with non-profits, businesses, and children, but because indoor meetups were no longer an option, Inspo Meets was established.
Our picnics serve as a source of inspiration. Our picnics slows us down and helps us feel a sense of peace with activities like Vision Board Picnics and Wellness Picnics that include mediation, yoga, and more.
(Message us about personalizing your picnic!)
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re excited to share a space that allows people to connect, rather than just going to the movies on a Friday night; We’ve learned that these kinds of activities can bring daily peace into our lives and spark a new type of connection in our communities. Going inward, sitting with ourselves, and getting clear on what we want for our lives can be difficult. Trying something new and taking a chance on something different is not easy. However, when we are surrounded by people and practical tools, it becomes easier , enjoyable.
When we have someone to help us grow, we all do better.
Having a growth mindset helped us overcome several obstacles. We tried not to let our worries control us, we know how crucial our thoughts are. Instead, we trusted that even if things went wrong, it would all eventually go right, that things would unfold as they were intended to, and that we could always create a new possibility.
We are women that enjoy seeing others succeed.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout goes to Uncle Tony; he was able to mentor me and offer a new perspective and advice that was helpful and encouraging. We would also like to give credit to Rachel. The love from this friendship played a huge role in my overall happiness. Her support was truly good for my health and helped improve my confidence and self-worth, which played a significant role in my character and energy – the energy that allowed me to get more so I could give more.
Thank you, Tony and Rachel <3
