We had the good fortune of connecting with K Cornell Kellum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K Cornell, what do you attribute your success to?
Our Brand is one of the Family and because of that is moving forward at light speed. I believe that in order to help our Companies and team grow, we have to all be accountable for our vision and attaining goals.

My individual success is always a product of the team’s success and vice versa. If you put everyone’s needs and growth at the forefront, then the team will grow with each and every success.

The success of the company is totally dependent on each and every individual who works together with us. Our Brand is our identity and therefore must be protected at all times through hard work and a spirit of team first.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We at the Ascendent Studios Group are an emerging group of Studios, Production Entities and Management firms that are and were built to expand the opportunities for those in the entertainment industry. We are truly headed to becoming one of the largest Indie Entertainment Companies in the Industry.

The Mission of The Ascendent Studios Group is to focus on making exceptional Motion Pictures and Television programs. We are set to be the Studio that listens to the public and helps the independent producers and small companies of the World have a true voice in the Entertainment industry.

Our Goal is to actively assist others to help them realize their dreams and to provide our clients with the support and guidance to make a difference in the World today.

Through an extensive network of associates, a highly visible Social Media presence and the use of a hands-on working approach, we will position ourselves as an emerging Premier Entertainment Studio Group.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

First, I wish I had the time to take a week long trip to just relax but building this Company to where we believe it is heading, doesn’t afford me that kind of time.
Because of our focus and growth in the industry, I am everywhere and not just in the Los Angeles market. I always make sure to spend time at Aroma Coffee & Tea in Studio City, as it serves as an unofficial office when i come through town.

I tend to do to more things like head to the beaches (Newport, Hermosa) or travel to Santa Barbara or up the coast to San Francisco or Sausalito when I have the time to just hang out and relax.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I think that the entire team at the Ascendent Studios Group deserves the praise and recognition for our growing success in the Entertainment industry. The work that they put in daily to build this emerging Company could never be fully appreciated.

Stevie Corn, Steve Nunez, Alexander Elliott, Arina Karpova, Nefise Savrun, Amy Armstrong Stadler, Natalie Hamilton-Joppich, Stacy Newton, Kelly Opsal, Matt Coulson, Arica Anderson, Anthea Roa and Niki J. Borger are just a few of the 1oo on our team that make a difference daily to what we are building at Ascendent Studios.
