Meet Kartar Diamond | Feng Shui Consultant, Teacher & Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kartar Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kartar, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Aside from delivering high quality, personalized information to my clients, I think that one of the most important factors in my success has been my work ethic. I follow through with promises and commitments, which includes getting back to my clients very quickly, giving them thorough explanations for why I make the recommendations I do, and for being flexible with my clients and students.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I first started consulting professionally in 1992, most of my clients and students were local to Southern California. But as time marched on, I have had a steady increase of individuals and businesses that I work with long distance and from all over the United States and the world. Offering a remote Feng Shui service to thousands of clients has been made possible with the Internet and I have forged special relationships with people who do not have a local practitioner in their area or with my level of experience and expertise. After writing three books and 6 ebooks (and more to come), I continued to create Case Study lesson plans for advanced students and practitioners from other schools and teachers who were still yearning to learn more. With over 2,000 pages of published materials, I have since used my books, ebooks and case studies as the core curriculum for a private on-line mentoring program, called Kartar’s School of Traditional Feng Shui. Being a sole practitioner in a metaphysical field has had its challenges, but many more rewards. I’ve learned that many tried and true business principles apply to the spiritual world as much as to any other business, where customer service and professional conduct are keys to long term success. I want the world to know that I have dedicated my life to the practice and research of Feng Shui, which is an amazing system for understanding how we are all influenced by our environment, with practical and affordable ways to enhance and manage it for better health, relationships, and income potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I spent most of my life growing up in Southern California and Los Angeles County. I went to UC Santa Barbara and assumed I would live there after college because it was and remains so beautiful. I now reside in Irvine, California where I am stunned at how many neighborhood, community and regional parks there are, along with lakes and walking trails. I will be getting a dog soon so that I can share these wonderful, tranquil and meditative spaces with a furry friend. If I had a guest who really wanted to see what Southern California has to offer, I would certainly consider the world-class dining, but also focus on the natural beauty of our beaches, mountains, and the diverse artist communities. One of my favorite places is Pasadena’s Huntington Gardens and the Arboretum. In South Orange County there are so many beautiful outdoor spaces, the list I have made will keep me occupied for years. For shopping, you can’t do much better than Newport Beach’s Fashion Island or the Irvine Spectrum Center. People often ask me if I am reflexively, always sizing up the Feng Shui wherever I go and to a certain extent I have to say yes. I could easily create a Feng Shui tour of places with good energy, like Akasha’s restaurant in Culver City or Hacienda on the Lake in Mission Viejo.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so grateful to my clients, many of whom I have known for 20+ years and who continue to refer and be enthusiastic about Feng Shui and the complementary services I offer. I have had some special mentors over the decades, including Heluo from the Netherlands, who taught me Feng Shui and Nine Star Ki secrets which no other teacher has in their tool kit.
