Meet Kasey Blaustein Greener | Founder + Creative Director of Kasey Jones, Ink.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasey Blaustein Greener and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kasey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Kasey Jones, Ink. started as a hobby, and organically evolved into the creative studio for art-powered experiences it is today. Before starting my company in 2014, I was working in marketing + branding for luxury lifestyle brands and spirits. I was taking different types of art classes and workshops in the evenings and weekends because creativity has always fulfilled me. It’s always been where I’m most at ease and happy.
The spark for Kasey Jones, Ink. started at my 30th birthday party when I designed an 8 x 8 ft chalkboard mural and asked a friend to set up his camera so we could create a make-shift photo booth. The energy in the booth was palpable and evident in the photos. With the help of social media, the pictures went viral, and I started getting requests for my “photo booth service” from brides, event planners, parents organizing their kid’s Bar Mitzvahs. The range of requests was incredible! As I continued to post my murals, contacts from my marketing and branding world started asking me if I could make art live at their client’s tradeshow, develop visual assets for a brand refresh, or design signage for their company’s event.
Fairly quickly, my hobby turned itself into a full time endeavor, and 10 years later, here we are!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The art I create—whether it’s a mural, logo, or curated press mailer—tends to be colorful, playful, yet sophisticated and elevated. My goal is always to spark joy in the end user, regardless of the project. My background in marketing and branding for luxury lifestyle brands, from both an agency and in-house perspective, has given me a deep understanding of brand dynamics and how to develop fresh, exciting art that aligns with established brand identities. What sets me apart is my ability to infuse my creative style into campaigns, brand refreshes, and event activations, breathing new life and energy into them.
I’m currently most excited about expanding my art into licensed products and collaborating with like-minded creatives. Recently, I launched a Tarot Deck of Everyday Magic with a tarot reader friend, and it’s been a colorful, creative adventure bringing it to market.
Building Kasey Jones, Ink. wasn’t easy, but I’ve loved the journey. It’s been full of late nights, constant learning, and building relationships with top creatives. I started from scratch, self-taught, and I’ve learned that it’s okay not to know everything. I lean on trusted professionals for areas where I’m still growing. My company thrives on creative collaboration and passion, with every project getting 100 percent effort to deliver the best results.
The story of my brand is about following joy. I didn’t start with a business plan—I just loved what I was doing and was eager to put in the work. My brand is built on the power of play and making people happy through creative expression, whether that’s a brand director, marketing manager, or consumer.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
– The Broad accompanied by brunch before at The Girl and The Goat (my new favorite restaurant), lunch at Grand Central Station, or dinner at Manuela
– A movie with Rooftop Cinema or Street Food Cinema, specially a movie where the producers go all out for a theme or have an accompanying live orchestra
– A concert and picnic dinner at the Hollywood Bowl
– A leisurely afternoon of shopping and lunch on Abbot Kinney in Venice + in Los Feliz
– A morning hike at the Hollywood sign, Escondido Falls, or Temecula Canyon, following by brunch
– A comedy show at The Laugh Factory, The Groundlings or Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre
– I’m also really into the restaurants and shops in West Adams these days – dinner at Alta Adams or Johnny’s Pastrami with cocktails at the Bar at Johnny’s
– I’m also always down for an adult day at Disneyland and DCA, but that’s for a very specific type of guests
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As a whole, my family is made up of creatives. Many of the art-powered services I provide and the products I design are influenced by the playful creativity I’ve witnessed from my mom and dad over the years. My greatest inspiration comes from my grandmother Adela’s passion for creating personalized gifts, purely for the joy of giving, and my grandfather Roy’s meticulous dedication to stellar craftsmanship. I channel their lessons in everything I create, and I truly consider my company’s success a shared family achievement.
