We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasey Dunn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kasey, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
At A Creative Loft, our story began with a simple idea: creativity flourishes when people feel connected and inspired. We’re not just a team—we’re a family of storytellers, dreamers, and problem-solvers who believe every brand has a unique story worth sharing.

It was born from years of passion and expertise. Kasey, our founder and head of strategy, brings a wealth of experience in marketing and brand development and a talent for transforming bold ideas into results-driven campaigns. Matthew, our co-founder and head of production, has been deeply rooted in the media production space for years, honing his craft and building a reputation for delivering exceptional content. Together, they’ve built a creative space (loft) where strategy meets artistry and brands are brought to life.

We didn’t just want to create great content—we wanted to craft meaningful connections between brands and their audiences. Whether through commercials, social media, or brand campaigns, our mission is to partner with clients who are ready to push boundaries, embrace bold ideas, and make an impact.

What should our readers know about your business?
At A Creative Loft, our journey has been one of passion, growth, and a commitment to learning from every experience. Each challenge we’ve faced has been an opportunity to refine our vision, deepen our creativity, and strengthen our resolve to create meaningful, impactful work.

Getting to where we are today has been an exciting and ever-evolving process. We’ve learned to embrace the ups and downs, seeing every moment as a chance to grow personally and professionally. This mindset keeps us inspired, curious, and ready to take on whatever comes our way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If our best friends were visiting Los Angeles for a week, we would plan the perfect mix of local favorites and iconic LA experience. Here’s how the week might look:

Enjoy craft beers and live events at Lawless Brewing Company, one of our personal favorites in North Hollywood.
Have a relaxed breakfast at The Front Yard.
Hike Runyon Canyon or Wisdom Tree for some of the best views of the city.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour at Warner Bros. Studio or Universal Studios Hollywood.
Like art? Visit LACMA & The Getty.
Spending the day at El Matador State Beach.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our journey at A Creative Loft wouldn’t be what it is today without the incredible support and belief of the team at Lawless Brewing Company. At the start of this year, they took a chance on us as their marketing team while Matt and I were still balancing full-time jobs. Their trust in our vision and talent gave us the confidence to step out of our comfort zones and take the leap into running our business full-time.

Lawless Brewing didn’t just give us a project; they gave us a platform to showcase what we’re capable of and a reminder that our work has the power to make an impact. Their unwavering support, collaboration, and belief in our creativity have been a cornerstone in our journey, and we’ll always be grateful for that.

We also owe so much to the friends, family, and mentors who’ve cheered us on, shared advice, and helped us dream big. This shoutout is for everyone who has supported us behind the scenes—you know who you are. It’s because of you that A Creative Loft is thriving today!
