We had the good fortune of connecting with KASHA MILLER and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi KASHA, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My goal is for clients to “know” my business name and how it can bring their weddings and events to be successful and memorable. I would like to open up my own all-inclusive venue one day.
I want to be known for my professional expertise. I love what I do and I want it to be expressed in all the work that I do.
What should our readers know about your business?
I opened up my wedding and event planning business 7 years ago. I am certified, have liability insurance and a business license. When I first opened up my business I had no idea where to get leads. So I place ads on Craiglist. Craiglist was great. It was only $5 per month to run an ad in a certain county. I was only charging $500 per client. It didn’t matter if it was full planning, partial or day of. I just wanted to get my portfolio going. Each wedding and event I learn something new. All weddings and events are different and that’s what I love about my business. I meet new people, places and have developed friendships along the way. The only thing I’ve learned the most most while running my business is patience. Clients consistently change their mind about venues, vendors etc. I’ve learned to “pencil” things in. I would like the world to know that I put my heart and soul into my business. I’m very passionate and budget friendly.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My best friend Ray Estrada encouraged me to open up my business. I was hesitant and felt I would fail. He told me, “You’re failing by not trying.” It’s been 7 years and by business is going strong.
