We had the good fortune of connecting with Katherine Suarez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katherine, what do you want your legacy to be?
When I reflect on the legacy I hope to build, I realize that it was only later in my life, after leaving the corporate world, that I truly discovered my sense of purpose. It was during this period of transition that I came to understand the power and significance of knowing my legacy. It became the foundation not only for building the second chapter of my life but also for my business.”
Looking ahead, I want to be known as a visionary mentor who leads women on a journey of self-discovery, helping them connect the dots between their unique talents, passions, and aspirations while designing a business aligned with their deepest purpose. I hope to be remembered as a Soul Whisperer, someone who guides women to discover their true selves, enabling them to embrace and own who they are fully.
People will say, “She was a remarkable Soul Whisperer who transformed the lives of countless women, empowering them to unlock their genius and create businesses that reflected their authentic selves. Through her intuitive guidance and business advice, she left an indelible mark, inspiring others to embrace their true calling and live a purposeful life.”
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Nomad Atelier is the culmination of my extensive experience leading digital initiatives in the fashion and outdoor industries for over 20 years (The North Face, 7forallMankind, Vans, Eastpak, etc.), Inspired by my own personal journey of redesigning my life and pursuing my desired business, I founded Nomad Atelier to empower others to do the same.
Taking the leap of faith and leaving the corporate world to follow my passions was a transformative decision that shaped my life in ways I could have never imagined. Through self-discovery, I found my purpose and authentic voice, embarking on the entrepreneurial path.
Today, my focus is on helping aspiring entrepreneurs, forward-looking brands, and solopreneurs slow down, refocus, and design meaningful, lifestyle-led businesses. What sets Nomad Atelier apart is our bespoke approach, offering one-on-one client sessions, group mentoring programs, and carefully tailored workshops worldwide. We guide individuals in creating businesses that are aligned with their true selves and their unique zone of genius.
One of the aspects I am known for is my strong creative direction and strategic insights, helping clients discover their distinctive signature. I assist in unveiling what makes their offerings unique, mapping out various revenue streams, and developing their personal brands. Drawing from my international background and passion for curating high-end and elevated experiences, I provide support and guidance that goes beyond the ordinary.
Throughout my journey, I have faced challenges in scaling while not losing the bespoke approach. It has not always been easy to be a solopreneur, but I have learned the power of collaboration and creating a community with like-minded people not only with partners but also with my own clients.
Perseverance led by my why, adaptability, and a growth mindset has been crucial in overcoming those challenges and evolving as a business, allowing me to Play Bigger.
What I want the world to know about Nomad Atelier is that it is a place where forward-thinking entrepreneurs are guided to design purpose-driven businesses and curated brand experiences that authentically align with their true selves, their unique voices, and their clear visions. I am often referred to as “Spicy Yoda” by my clients, a nickname that reflects my ability to identify their needs, shift perspectives, and provide guidance that extends beyond the surface level.
In essence, Nomad Atelier is here to empower individuals to embark on their own transformative journeys, discover their true passions, and create businesses that are not only successful but also deeply meaningful and aligned with their authentic selves.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Love to have breakfast at the Proper Hotel. I’m a sea lover so I like to take them to Malibu beach and Santa Barbara, and see shops there too. And of course, Art is always on my list, Take them to see the collection in the Getty museum and a visit to Lacma.
I’m a Thai food lover, so my favorite place is TOI on Sunset. I love hidden bars, so The Varnish is always a great place to take them too.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
