We had the good fortune of connecting with Katherine Wehler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katherine, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I come from a family of very hard working women. And while that is admirable and my own hard work ethic served me at the beginning of my career, ironically the more I grow in business, make more money, and embrace my authenticity and Soul Blueprint the less hard I am able to work to be able to hold the energy to impact the world the way I want to and see my clients doing. What’s fascinating is that leading this movement of creating more fun, joy, ease, and simplicity around work and life is literally my Highest Purpose and calling. I am here to create my own heaven on earth and help others do the same. Dream lives with a healthy work life balance are surprisingly easy to cultivate when we’re willing to let go of old stories and beliefs about why we can’t or what’s standing in our way. What I’ve learned from my own path in business and guiding my clients is that it’s always only me in my way and a simple aligned energy shift will increase my capacity for more good and compounded balance. How much good can I handle? In both work and other areas of life that will automatically affect work I welcome and continually increase my container to hold good.
On top of this, we as a society are shifting energetically into a new paradigm of “work” and our values around work. Work-life balance is key for everyone and will become even more so over the next 30 years. Hard work is not the only way or perspective to live life, and it will become increasingly difficult to be prosperous with only a hard work ethic as we evolve further. Life is meant to be enjoyed and it’s beautiful we’re all waking up to this truth.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am an Activation + Ascension Guide who assists in exploring, (re)discovering, and empowering the soul’s highest self and true potential. I am a Professional Blueprint Astrologer and Human Design Reader, Original Akashic Record Keeper of the 23rd Dimension, Conscious Business Coach, and Host of The Soul (Re)Discovery Podcast.
As a young child I was highly intuitive. I remembered many past lives vividly and connected easily with the divine, including speaking light language and seeing energy. However due to trauma and societal pressure I hid these gifts until my soul (re)discovery, a term I have coined that means coming back to and remembering the soul self, in 2016. Following a shooting in college, I experienced extreme PTSD, anxiety, and depression and this led to my biggest healing thus far as I worked to reclaim my back my life force energy.
Through my soul (re)discovery process I used metaphysical modalities to connect to my soul’s perspective and through this unlocked a life of joy, love, freedom, and abundance unlike ever before. I deeply remembered why my soul came into this life with the energy of activation and reflection, and now I work with my clients as a divine mirror and guide to help shift their energy and fully embody their worthiest and most authentic self to build and live the life of their dreams on their own terms.
My business has been nothing but a blessing. As a 4/6 Manifesting Generator with a Right Angle Cross of Service (Human Design) and Aries Sun, Libra Moon, Cancer Rising, Pisces Midheaven, and Pisces/Scorpio Stellium (Astrology) I feel fully divinely guided and lit up by what I do and how I uniquely do it from my Zone of Genius. A few years ago I told someone that I wanted to help facilitate miracles daily and they said “be careful how you throw around the word miracle” but my whole philosophy is that every day can be a miracle, a chance for a new adventure, and an opportunity to more fully appreciate and enjoy our lives if we let it be. Wisdom is simple, we as humans tend to overcomplicate it but it doesn’t have to be that way.
I’ve had clients that accomplish huge things in our time working together from increasing their income 3x in one month, to quitting a job or leaving an abusive relationship. But the time that stands out the most to me is a woman who said she couldn’t meditate and her whole life she had tried but “failed.” After explaining what meditation really is and what it’s for we tried together and within 30 seconds she was sobbing from the feeling of unconditional love from the universe and for herself. That’s how quickly we can connect, that’s how close we always are to connecting and shifting into more love for ourselves. It’s always right there for us and we all have the capacity to do it and tap into the ultimate source when we choose to.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places in LA are the little holes in the wall, the unexpected finds, and of course the beach. Nothing beats the ocean and people watching from the sand. Recently a friend and I stumbled upon Ye Cafe, a little tea house in K Town and I could have spent all day there in the garden sipping on tea and ramen. If I’m in Venice I’m going to The Rose and getting a croissant or donut no questions asked. I like to meet another friend in Santa Monica at Fig where we split a cheese board (my favorite!) and I’ve seen some really nice shows like Rupi Kaur’s last tour at The Orpheum.
If someone is visiting LA for the first time of course you have to do Disneyland and Hollywood/Universal Studios too, you can’t visit SoCal and not see those two. Growing up in Palm Springs and living in California most of my life I’ve been really spoiled by what most people consider paradise. It’s always nice when a friend visits and you get to relive the magic and adventure all over again from their eyes.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
By far the people I am the most grateful for in life and along my path have been women. Each step of the way I have had the best mentors that all coincidentally were kickass women. Some don’t even know how much they have impacted me simply by seeing me and my potential before I truly could, From professors, to coaches, to bosses, to my own clients, Mom, Grandmother, and little sister strong, capable, vulnerable, honest, intelligent, and expansive women have been a guiding light in my own expansion and success.
