We had the good fortune of connecting with Kathryn Morrow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kathryn, what matters most to you?
There are a handful of core values that I hold tight, including empathy, compassion and gratitude, but the value I think is most important for success is tolerance. The more you can tolerate, the stronger you will become. This is true not only for business but also for relationships and marriage. The longest standing, most successful marriages have no doubt tolerated a lot to get to where they are. Of course, we need to draw a line between tolerating and enabling, but having a high tolerance for discomfort is something that has contributed to where I am today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My husband and I are the owners and founders of Morrow Marriage- a marriage coaching program that allows men and women to do the work separately, rather than dragging their spouse to traditional therapy kicking and screaming. We believe it only takes one person to lead, and by focusing on yourself and the issues you bring to the table (even if your spouse is worse), you can soften and influence your partner to the point where he or she starts making changes on their own.

One of the most exciting parts about our business is that we help the worst of the worst marriages, and we have a very high success rate. Our podcast has about 20K downloads per month and is just over a year old. Since 2021 we have helped bring healing to over 5000 people in our coaching programs, and that’s not including the millions we have access to on our social media platforms. We get messages every single week thanking us for our content and how following what we teach on social media has helped them with their marriage! It’s really an honor!

My husband Cass is a managing, severe, self aware narcissist (not kidding), so this business happened pretty organically and naturally for us. We suffered through narcissistic abuse for 6 years before turning our own marriage around, and we have been helping others do the same ever since.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If it wasn’t for my amazing husband, putting in the energy and effort to overcome narcissism, I, likewise would never have learned the skills and achieved the growth I have been able to accomplish. We beat the odds, and we are bringing so many others with us on the journey!
