We had the good fortune of connecting with Katrina DiMiele and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katrina, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk has been the heartbeat of my journey. I was a teen mom and a high school dropout—I wasn’t supposed to “make it.” But I’ve built a life and a business by choosing faith over fear, again and again.

Moving across the country, starting over in a new city, showing up on TikTok when no one was watching—every step felt risky. But those risks gave me the space to grow, reach millions, and build something that not only supports my family but inspires other women to believe they can do it too.

I don’t see risk as a gamble—I see it as trusting God’s plan over mine.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I didn’t build my business the traditional way—and I think that’s what sets it apart. I started as a high school dropout and teen mom with big dreams and zero connections. I worked in the beauty industry, opened my own salon, and eventually found my way into live selling before anyone really knew what that was. I didn’t have investors or a roadmap—I had grit, faith, and a deep desire to create something real.

Today, I’m a full-time content creator, live seller, and entrepreneur. I’ve built viral brands, mentored creators, and generated millions in product sales through authenticity and consistency. It hasn’t been easy. I’ve failed, pivoted, started over—but I’ve never quit. I show up every day for the women watching, because I know what it’s like to feel like the underdog.

My brand isn’t just about products—it’s about freedom. It’s about showing women that they can build something powerful without fitting the mold. If there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s this: You don’t need permission to start. You just need to believe that your story matters and keep showing up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, we’d start the week with coffee and ocean air in Laguna Beach—maybe grab a latte from Urth Caffé and walk the shoreline. We’d do a girls’ day in Malibu with lunch at Malibu Farm, then window shop and people-watch at The Grove.

For something more chill and local, I’d take them to Old Town Pasadena for shopping, street performers, and dessert at Amara Café. We’d hit downtown Covina for small business gems, grab a juice or smoothie, and catch a sunset walk.

And of course—church on Sunday. My life runs on faith, family, and a good breakfast burrito after service.

LA has glitz, yes—but my favorite parts are where real life and beauty meet.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to the women who shaped me—especially my mom. Our relationship wasn’t always easy, but she taught me resilience in her own way. Her strength, her fight, and even her flaws gave me the tools I needed to grow into the woman I am today.

I also want to shout out my husband and kids—my true north. Their support, patience, and love have been my anchor through every high and low. This journey has been anything but simple, but because of them, I keep showing up.
