Meet Katty Q

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katty Q and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katty, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Creativity is not just my job — it’s a way of life. I’ve always searched for ways to convey
emotion and create something unique, whether through music or visual expression. I
started my career as a model at 14 and quickly realized the power of expressing meaning
through appearance.
But music entered my life when I realized I didn’t just want to be part of the show — I
wanted to *create* it. I wanted to control the atmosphere and shape the crowd’s energy.
Becoming a DJ was my way of communicating with the world — of being truly myself in
moments of full self-expression.
Every performance and every photoshoot is more than just work for me — it’s an
opportunity to connect, to inspire, and to give people something they can take with them.
In my world, music and fashion don’t just intersect — they complete each other. They allow
me to be multifaceted and true to myself.
My journey — from Russia to Los Angeles, from nightclubs to international brands — is
more than a career. It’s a constant adventure, inspired by the world and the people around
me.
Creativity, for me, is a way of living — a chance to make each day brighter, bolder, and more
interesting.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love being the conductor on the dance floor. Not just dropping hits and hoping for the best
— I guide the crowd like a wave: build them up, let them breathe, take them higher, then
give them a moment to grab a drink or catch their breath.
My sets are like a perfectly planned night out — a little heat, a lot of joy, and enough space
to dance your heart out without burning out.
It all started with high heels and late nights. Back when I modeled, my girlfriends and I
would go clubbing after shoots. I remember standing in the crowd thinking, *If I could just
play my music right now, they’d smile even more.*
I felt the perfect track in my head — and I knew I had to become the one behind the decks.
So I did.
Now I blend fashion and music into one stylish rhythm. And honestly? I think they were
always meant for each other.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit L.A., I’d start with a little glam — a walk down Rodeo Drive
and some feel-good shopping. Then lunch at Novikov — their fresh seafood and signature
pasta always hit the spot. After that, we’d stop for photos at the Beverly Hills sign or check
out a nearby pop-up exhibit.
Next day? Malibu. Sun, ocean air, and lunch at Nobu Malibu (because beach views and black
cod — say no more). We’d walk the sand, catch the sunset, and reset our souls.
And yes, we’d swing by the Walk of Fame — cliché? Maybe. But fun? Absolutely.
On the weekend, we’d go out: Warwick if we’re in the mood for hip-hop and dancing, or
Raspoutine for a house vibe with velvet couches and “just one more song” energy.
Wherever we go — it’s good music, good looks, and unforgettable memories.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all — trust your wildest dreams!
If your heart and intuition are screaming, “Go for it!” — listen. Even if it sounds crazy. Life
rewards the brave, not the perfect.
There were countless moments when chasing my passion felt overwhelming, uncertain —
even a little insane. But every time I took that next step, it led me exactly where I needed to
be.
Music has always been my biggest source of inspiration — it’s the language of emotion, the
soundtrack to every chapter of our lives.
No matter where I was in the world, music reminded me who I am, where I come from, and
where I’m headed. It kept my dreams alive when the road felt endless.
And of course — I could never have done this alone. The love and support of my family and
friends meant everything.
Especially during long tours when I lived out of a suitcase and forgot what my own bed
looked like.
But knowing they believed in me — no matter how far I was — made all the difference.
Without them, none of this would’ve been as sweet, or as crazy, or as worth it.
