We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaveri Karhade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaveri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always wanted to practice medicine in a way that allowed me to have the biggest impact on my patients, and I just haven’t been able to do that through traditional models. Starting my own practice was the only way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have a cosmetic and medical dermatology practice in San Francisco, CA. My practice philosophy is to help my patients get their best skin in a way that is minimalist and honest- unfortunately, cosmetic dermatology is a field in which it’s hard for patients to find that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
SF is full of great places; Damnfine pizza and Cantina in the Sunset District, Jane on Fillmore, and nearly any seafood spot in Sausalito along the water are favorites.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
