We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaye Bassey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaye, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Some years ago, I started blogging and creating content as a hobby. Deep down, I have always known that I would be working in the fashion and beauty space. Although, I went to university for Business, I always knew that I had the need to fuel my passion. So even when I would try to walk away from the fashion and beauty industry, I felt like I kept getting pulled back in. Luckily fashion and beauty have been a lifelong passion and one of my favorite interests as a child. So after blogging for some time, I booked my first job and realized “this is great- there is an opportunity to really turn this into something sustainable”. Since then, I’ve kept going and I am so glad how far everything has gone since the first day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I really focus on providing the best, authentic experience.

My path has not been easy but I think that anyone can relate to that. Of course everything takes time, has it’s ups and downs but one thing I learned along the way is to show gratitude for everything and to be patient. Live in the moment- enjoy it and work hard.

I would love the world to know that everything you dream can be achieved. Never be afraid to chase your dreams and dream big. You never know what opportunities are available around the corner for you if you are disciplined, persevere and work hard.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have so many amazing places that I love to go to. More than ever, I’ve spending so much time outdoors- specifically the beach. Honestly, I feel like it is underrated! I love to spend time there and watch the sunrise and sunset; it really is one of my top 5 favorite things to experience.

There is so much amazing shopping in Los Angeles. For my friends who have not visited before, we like to explore Rodeo Drive. It is so popular all over the world- so it is definitely something worth seeing. A lot of amazing restaurants are located in the close vicinity.

Another gem is the hiking! Such beautiful views and stunning terrains. There are many pretty trails in Malibu- the view of the ocean and the city is insane.

I feel like if you live in Los Angeles and are not enjoying the nature- I urge you to reconsider. I am so hooked on all the outdoor activities
