We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Grosse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to be able to have the freedom to be my own boss, make my own schedule and enjoy life rather than work the 9-5 grind. I also wanted to be able to offer the type of services I was best at, and work with fantastic clients of my choosing!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I started my company SocialVoracity.com back in 2013, it was anything but easy. Now, it’s pretty popular to have an online business, but at that time, it wasn’t as popular so there weren’t as many resources as people have now. I’m very proud of the network I have built, the time I have dedicated to all of my clients, and the results I have seen working on each of their accounts and brands. My journey started off slow, and there were times when clients were hard to come by, but if you work hard, and you never give up, abundance is just around the corner. I think the reason clients come to me and recommend me is that I care about them and their brands. I care if something doesn’t work, and I rejoice if something does. I also take time to figure out who they are as people, their values, and their mission. Because of my entertainment background in film, TV, and writing–I published a novel in 2019–I bring a unique storytelling perspective to the table. This is why I enjoy working with creatives as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Los Angeles, and I love showing my friends around the city. The last time a friend came to visit, this is what we did: 1. Brunch at either Aroma Cafe in Studio City, or Blu Jam Cafe. Then, drive up the coastline and see the beautiful ocean, maybe stop and walk along the beach. Finish the day with Happy Hour at Dukes Malibu. 2. Universal Studios or Disney (you have to do one of those!) 3. A walk/hike at Griffith Park 4. Magic Castle 5. Laguna Beach or something similar 6. Find a rooftop venue, like the Soho house for drinks and views of Los Angeles. 7. Hollywood Walk of Fame driving tour (in my car ;)) 8. Find some good Mexican Food!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my friends MJ Dougherty and Rosie Chiappone.
