We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaytie Gabriel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaytie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business definitely started with rejection. During the beginning of my modeling career I was always turned down because of my height or my look. It was hard to build a credible portfolio. I reached out to many agencies, photographers, different brands and businesses, went to endless castings and although I did have a great experience when I’d get booked nothing really stuck until… I created my own platform specifically catering to upcoming creatives in the entertainment & arts industry. I wanted to help those trying to get their “foot in the door” because I knew how hard it was for me to build a presence without any guidance or sense of community. I now successfully provide a network full of aspiring models, music artists , hair/makeup artists, wardrobe stylists/designers, photographers and small brands/businesses that can connect and collaborate on projects that will help them create the content they need to further their careers. I took something negative and turned it into a blessing. I love being able to create a safe place for entrepreneurs to master the art of Pure self expression, it was something I was missing but learned through my introduction to the industry. Ive gained the confidence to accept that everything happens for a reason and now I am able to create fashion show events, photoshoots and more for others while still working on my resume and portfolio! Please continue to follow your dreams and understand that there’s always a message within the mess.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe that each and every person reading this has a purpose and that we are all a piece to the puzzle that makes life what it is today but if there is one thing I feel did help me in my career one way or another was diving into my spiritual healing journey. Finding yourself, blocking out the outside noise and knowing your true passions will definitely help you to manifest the life you truly want. I’ve read tons of self help books and embarked on healing sessions with my father who is now a Shaman and practices plant medicine. I admit I still have a long way to go but knowing what you need to work on, believing in your dreams wholeheartedly and taking the necessary actions to pursue what it is you want to achieve is where the law of attraction begins. Anything is possible when you know your self worth and where you want to be in life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t go out much but when I do I enjoy sunsets, chilled drinks, great music and great conversations. Im from New York City but I live in California now and there’s tons of things to do out here so I’m sure my friends from New York would love to visit the night clubs, beaches, bars and shopping centers
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I would like to dedicate this shout out to my Models Project and Society Model community as well as my friends and family who support every event, every post, and have reached out recognizing my accomplishments. Support means so much to entertainers, entrepreneurs and small business owners so please continue to bless those around you and spread love where ever you go!
