We had the good fortune of connecting with Keaver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keaver, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work-life balance used to feel like a finish line I could never quite reach—something I was chasing rather than living. In my early career, I poured myself into work with very little margin for my own joy. I thought success required constant motion. Over time, I’ve learned that real balance isn’t about splitting life into perfect halves—it’s about alignment. Now, I think of balance as a rhythm rather than a rule. Some seasons demand more of my voice and my time professionally, and others invite me to step back, rest, and nurture my personal life. I give myself permission to honor both. These days, balance means I work with intention, I rest without guilt, and I protect the spaces that allow creativity and love to flourish. It’s not perfect—but it’s mine, and it’s peaceful.

Alright, so let’s move on to what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a SAG-AFTRA voiceover talent and creative entrepreneur specializing in bringing stories to life across film, television, animation, commercials, promo, and narration. My voice has been heard in national campaigns for brands like Pfizer and Nike/WNBA, in eLearning modules for Delta Cargo, and in award-winning films such as All Light, Everywhere. I’ve also had the privilege of narrating stories for the Robin Roberts special episode Shark Attack Investigation: The Paige Winter Story and lending my voice to movie trailers like Sylvie’s Love. But it all began with music… Including live and recorded vocal performances with Grammy award-winning artists U2, Michael Jackson, Andraé Crouch, Ice Cube and Daryl Coley. And the author of the children’s book Brenai Learning Series: Colors of Nature, author of the book Grief Relief: Confession Leads to Recovery, singer/songwriter of the children’s album The Color of Love is You, and the holiday album Home for the Holidays.

What makes me unique is my background in singing and writing. I began singing in church and writing poetry as a young kid. Maintaining a creative life has not been easy. Like many others, I’ve faced seasons of uncertainty, rejection, and the challenge of turning creative passion into a thriving business. The lesson I’ve learned is that persistence, preparation, and community are everything. I invested in world-class coaching, embraced continuous learning (including my doctoral journey in business and entrepreneurial literacy), and built relationships rooted in trust and generosity. Those steps transformed obstacles into rewarding opportunities. What I’m most proud of today is not just the projects I’ve voiced or written but the people I’ve impacted—whether it’s a client thrilled with the final spot, an emerging creative I’ve mentored who found the courage to step into their own dream, or a family in need of an encouraging life story. If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s this: I help ideas speak. My voice and my work are about lighting a path—through storytelling, sound, and inspiration—so others can feel seen, inspired, moved, and empowered to share their own voices with the world.
