Meet Keith Good News: CEO, The Good News Radio Network, On-Air Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith Good News and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keith, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Originally I was creating a platform for myself to pursue my own dream. When I realized I could help others do the same thats when the business model was created.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One key factor that has led to the success of the company is consistency. Our ability to constantly push our agenda forward has been unmatched. I can say I am most proud of the multiple station and multiple studio network we have built. Having two radio stations under the same network is something thats not seen often. I have worked for major radio stations doing sound engineering, producing shows, as well worked on the administrative side of the industry giving me an advantage of knowledge and experience that most don’t have. Building a business or concept from scratch is never easy, but what has helped me along the way is unwaiverable faith, and remaining a student. Always looking to learn keeps great mentors in your life which can cut your learning curve in half if not more. What people should know about my story more than anything is that I started in 2015 hosting radio shows out of my bedroom through my phone with no mics, fastforward to 2020 I now own two radio stations, two podcast studios, and have signed over 17 shows to my network form all over the country.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am from L.A. so tacos are a big deal here. Id definitely take them to get some good tacos, visit the beach ,and probably go take a look at some mansions for inspiration.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe a lot of credit to my parents and my team. My parents laid the foundation of confidence when I decided to pursue a radio career. Them believing I was going in the right direction affirmed my decision. I also must give a huge shout out to my team , and specifically Jackie for being the first to join with me when I was still working out of my dads basement.
