We had the good fortune of connecting with Keldamuzik and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keldamuzik, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was all about how can I support and provide something for my fans that haven’t been branded before. That’s immediately when I thought of TAMZ berets. No one in the fashion industry or in the Hip Hop industry has branded this yet and I want to be the first. I made this business also for those (especially women), who have bad hair days, or even struggling with hair issues, why not put on a Tamz?? Think about all the women out there suffering from alopecia, natural hair loss etc. Or even if your just running a few errands and you don’t feel like doing your hair, you can wear a Tamz beret!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Keldamuzik aka Diva, known as a Hip Hop artist from the Bay Area California. I always wanted to do everything from music, performing, acting, writing, producing and hosting and how my platform has allowed me to do that, I’m so busy with so many projects. My management company is Digz Media Group LLC, where we also provide digital marketing services to other brands that are looking to enhance their art. Otherwise, my focus right now is TAMZ and also producing a mini-series called Diva, which showcases my struggle coming up as a female rapper in the early 2000s.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Buttercup in Oakland, best breakfast ever! I love some southern breakfasts like grits, scrambled eggs with onion and cheese, potatoes, and toast.

Another place that’s pretty cool to have breakfast, brunch, dinner and a few drinks is another spot in Oakland called M2Oak also known as Mimosa2. I go there Sundays for breakfast and Thursdays to watch the game and have a drink with my models. You’ve got to check it out! Also, there’s For The Culture, which is owned by the same person as Mimosa2. You’ve got to go there as well and taste their amazing food!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Geez, there are so many people that I want to give a shout-out to, but I will just keep it general because I don’t want to miss anyone! But shout out to ALL the Tamz models that have supported my brand and fashion shows. We even have male models that walk on the runway wearing Tamz too! So everyone is feeling the vibe. I also want to thank my marketing team for everything that I’ve done to help Tamz grow and my business Digz Media Group LLC, to make that what it is today.
