We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelly Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelly, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I ask myself is that risk worth taking? If it wasn’t for the risks that I took my life would look very different from what it is now. Taking a risk is one of the most scariest decisions you make and can be one of the darkest parts of your life. I don’t know where I would be, where my girls would have ended up, I would have never found my now husband and had my first son. Because of that risk I took, it was in fact the hardest journeys of my life but that led to happiness, success and a beautiful life that I have now

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my first career at the age of 23 I was 23 with 3 kids, and in a extremely unhealthy marriage at this time, where I was constantly belittled and verbally attacked or threatened because I didn’t work but just stayed home taking care of my girls. I had a license to be in the medical field but needed to at least start off at a certain range to be able to afford child care which was really hard to find, but I didn’t give up I was tired of living the way I was I ended up at a Durable medical equipment company for about 10 years where I learned medical equipment, insurances, how to be a supervisor, sleep studies and so much more. During my divorce it was extremely hard to focus and keep a job because the court dates and all the trials my ex was putting me through this is where my hobby-passion for beauty began I thought I would start a wholesale makeup business and market the makeup and sale it on my terms to eliminate all the stress of the work, school, court schedules. This was going well for me but not well enough. So I began seeking work in the medical field where I became HR for a urgent care, around this time I met my now husband Ernie, we became close friends and found he too was in the medical field of Durable medical equipment, around this time the company he worked for needed a manager, I was offered that position, Ernie and I grew closer and closer friendship turned into a loving relationship, Ernie too had a sleep lab that needed help, so of course I had to go help him, where we revamped that business together and made it into something great together. After many many years of changes and upgrades to the facilities we now have others that hold the fort down which allows us to have freedom and not only do I get to spend more time with my family I also have a side hobby of a lifestyle Instagram page under livingfully_kellydiaz where I do get to share still beauty, fashion, family, travel, and lifestyle where brands do reach out to collaborate with me and also receive some really nice goodies not just for me but for the family too!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is such a good question may I come back to this one ?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My hardworking Mom Barbara, her late husband whom she just lost Bobby Smith, my mom showed me how to be strong, and to keep fighting through the toughest times to never give up, My amazing grandparents that helped raise me Val and Elmer Bell they taught me morals, to have a relationship with God, how important it was to pray, to respect your elders, to be a good person even when no one is watching, they were home, they were my comfort, my crying shoulders, my lunch dates and helped me raise my girls. Although my Dad Danny was not much of a role model in my life his story inspired me to do better as his daughter I was afraid to be like him. My kids Lexie, Bella, Meadow, Nico and my husband Ernie Diaz, the timing of each and everyone of them was gods timing and kept me level headed and for me through the most difficult times in my life because they push me to be better all the time
