We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Crenshaw and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, how do you think about risk?
Anything you want is on the other side of risk… and what gets in the way of this for most people is trying to feel certain about the outcome of a situation, which is near impossible. I let go of trying to control or have certainty in anything quite a while ago. That’s why making a $35,000 investment, traveling the world from my backpack during 2020 pandemic, or falling madly in love again after having my heart shattered so many times… is worth it. The ONLY thing we can be certain in is death, taxes, and that your psyche will follow your identity/beliefs about yourself. So, I focus on myself and realize the rest is out of my control anyway. Risk is the price to pay for fulfillment and achievement in life. The higher the risk, the higher the reward. If no risk is taken, you may feel safe, but you give away dangerous freedom or certain safety. Realize that your mind just want certainty to be safe. Consciously remind yourself you’re safe, and take the risk anyway. What’s the worst that can happen? You break your heart? “you’ve got to break your heart until it opens” – Rumi You lose money? You can make more You get injured? Your body heals… It’s made for that. You lose time? Congratulations! You gained wisdom and experience for the future. The only way to fail is to not take a risk….
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a love and relationship coach that specializes in healing trauma and doing the inner work, to have that then reflected with how you show up in your love life – to manifest the relationship you deeply desire. Holding a loaded pistol in my mouth, living on the streets, battling addiction and anxiety, having my heart shattered multiple times, and surviving an OD… I know what to do because I lived it and broke free. My work is highly intuitive, as relationships took me to my darkest points, I understand the human psyche well, and relationships are the perfect dojo for spiritual and personal development.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If in LA, Venice is a must! then head to malibu for sunset!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Thank you to myself, for never giving up on my self. for putting in the work 24/7/365. for taking the risks over and over again. and for continuing to love when I had every reason not to.
