We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Accountability is what I would best describe as the factor I used basically upon myself to direct my focus and channel my drive to create these words and give visual life to them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I can honestly share that creating two true story short films, and now 1st Pilot in about 3 years is a start. LA seems to have more talkers than actual creators in this Hollywood industry. I have also written 2 feature film scripts, 1 is a political thriller “Pawn/Puppet/Savior” and the other my first RomCom, “Hollywood Ending…”. My 1st true story short Film, “Beautifully. Love. Dark.” was most challenging not only because it was my 1st short but my personal story I was asked to bring to life. So not only did I write it but I also directed, produced, and starred in it as my older self. I was blessed to have dear friends prepare me for disappointment where people will flake and ghost me as production gets closer. So I did have a skeleton crew with an amazing friend, Homi D. who was my AD for both shorts, and I have an eye for talented unknown actors. Luckily, everything came together mainly because these people believed in me…I am very blessed for that. I have a great crew now and offered projects to directed. What I would love for the world to know about me is, I am what I’m going after. I chose a narrow road with odds against me to bring out the emotions in people that rarely get the chance to explore themselves in my acting, characters I create, storylines, and visuals. The movie theater in my sanctuary, I grew up if front of the TV set, movies every weekend and adored drama & acting classes I gave up baseball for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Locally, I’d take him/her/them to The Dresden In Los Feliz & Sevengrand DTLA for Live Jazz & Cool Ambiance, Backstage Bar & Grill In Culver City For Amazing Karaoke Night & Cool Staff, Zuma & Manhattan Beach For A Tranquil & Bliss  Time, Q’s Billiards For NFL & MLB Sunday FunDay & Amazing Staff, Mister O’s, Katana & Via Alloro Best Cuisines, ArcLight Cinerama Dome For Best Movie Theater Experience, Cathy’s Corner At Griffin Park For LA LA Land scenic hike, a nice sunset drive up & down PCH, & Of Course Disneyland/California Adventure Hands Down Because Hey, I’m a big kid at heart & you meet Mickey!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My huge thanks and gratitude I would definitely say goes to my intermediate and extended family for believing in me without hesitation or worry, especially my mother whom made an extra to give me the love and support to follow my dreams in such uncertainty. I have always been blessed with the people I’ve encountered on my many journeys that either hired me, trusted in me to take on new endeavors, and financially backed me to create my 1st & 2nd true story short films, “Beautifully. Love. Dark.”, “Last Tonight”, & my 1st pilot project, “Hey, I’m The Doorguy!” Bob Lambert for Casting me In “All My Children” soap opera back in NYC & Brian D. For getting Me on to “Days Of Our Lives” after I moved to LA. Many of these special friends provided locations, food services, production, and of the actors lending their natural talents. Hospitality and nightlife taught me more about people and cultures. Books like “The Alchemist”, “The Secret”, “Conversations With God”, “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff Because It’s All Just Small Stuff”. The first names that come to mind that awaken my talent I would say, Mom, Daniel Wulkan, Marc Roth, Sean Lynch for standup & stretch comedy, Doug Gardner, Mark Panasuk, Sarah J & Her Parents, Marcus Mizelle, Jim Michaels, Anthony Cecala, Adam Piacente, & Robert Manning Jr. Musically, Old School HipHop, Jazz, 90’s Alternative , 80’s, early Metal & Pop 2000’s. Lunch With Robert DeNiro, meeting Bruce Willis, friends Len Wiseman, Kate Beckinsale. Jason George, Dule Hill, Hill Harper who’ve continually support and guide me with advice.
